We brought Amanda to Pennsylvania College of Technology for RA Training. Her workshop “Identity Day” was informative, impactful, and engaging. The RAs had a chance to learn about inclusive language, marginalized identities, allyship, and so much more! I’ve been a participant and observer of many different DEI presentations and workshops, and Amanda was by far the best presenter! She keeps it real and relatable, and makes the challenging topics less intimidating.

I’d also add that she is one of the most organized individuals I’ve ever worked with. Her attention to detail, communication through every step of the process, and consideration of the various needs/challenges that come with our unique institution were incredible to witness. If you need a speaker, she has to be at the top of your list!

-Blaise Marshall, Coordinator of Residence Life, Pennsylvania College of Technology

Amanda facilitated an amazing presentation on Inclusive Language. There are so many reasons why it was excellent, informative and impactful. The content was comprehensive and applicable. Most of all, her delivery of the content was undoubtedly the best I’ve experienced. She made the uncomfortable comfortable, meaning that she presented the information in a way that was mindful of the spaces, experiences and knowledge that each of us may be in or understand. In essence, she hit the nail on the head with every identity she spoke about in bringing attention to the “why” language matters and how to be respectful of individual identities and how to share in a space with different people in a welcoming and inclusive way. Simply, it was real talk without the threat of being “called out” for past mistakes, but also providing space to process the value of listening to self-identifiers. I will definitely be recommending Amanda to anyone I know of or hear of that is looking for an Inclusive Language Workshop!

-Keir Livingston, Associate Athletic Director, Mercer County Community College

Amanda was awesome to work with. Her organization and consideration of our campus needs were evident. Once on campus, she was engaging and able to meet the participants where they were. 100% of the participants stated that Amanda was prepared, knowledgeable, personable, and that they would implement information learned into their work.

-Andrew Johnson, Assistant Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Hartwick College

Amanda does amazing work that truly impacts those around her. Her presentations are engaging and full of knowledge. My RA staff and I truly loved having the ability to share a space with her!

-Dan Tate, Community Director, Bucknell University

Amanda's presentation was not only informative and valuable, it was extremely impactful. She is passionate about inclusion, and isn't afraid to to have difficult conversations. I learned a lot that I didn't know and left with many key take aways and action items that will aid me in leading diverse groups of people. What resonated with me the most was when Amanda said "what I'm telling you isn't the law, I'm just trying to make you a better human." I would recommend any business or group to have Amanda come in and talk to your teams about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

-Donna Kane, Fidelity Bank Branch Manager and Leadership Lackawanna Core Class of 2022

Amanda's presentation was relevant, professional and eye-opening! Her communications skills are impeccable and she has a very relatable personality- you could just talk to her for hours! I was impressed with her caring and calm demeanor and would highly recommend her services.

-Nicole Morristell, Executive Director, Leadership Lackawanna

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Amanda! We enjoyed spending time with you and learning how to 1) See ourselves 2) See others 3) Pay attention to the bias we have, and 4) Be as open as possible when biases are identified that we didn’t realize we had. Amanda, you facilitated in such a way that was patient, kind, full of grace, non-judgmental, and direct. Our team is better and will progressively get better because of the encounter we’ve had with Amanda Slichter.

Dr. Nathaniel Woods, Jr., Special Assistant to the President for Inclusion Transformation, Pennsylvania College of Technology

Amanda is a pleasure to work with, she is very responsive, very flexible and presents with a strong passion for advocating for not only the LGBTQIAP+ but for all individuals. I've seen her inclusive language presentation twice and I plan on forming a long partnership with her. During her inclusive language presentation my colleagues and I learned about allyship, she created a space where we can interact without one another in a safe confidential environment. Her presentation was a great experience that helped launch our DEI initiatives in the right direction.

-Dr. Donavan McCargo, Kutztown University, Dean of Students and Co-Coordinator of the Achievement Initiative for Male Success (AIMS)

Amanda presented with grace and composure. Leading by example to not only our RAs and Lead RAs, but to me and my team here at Bucknell as we learned more about terminology, growth, what to do and what not to do, and so much more! I would love to have Amanda come back to Bucknell and work with more students on our campus!

-Jeri Fries, Community Director, Bucknell University

Amanda was incredibly easy to work with. I had a tight deadline and she was able to review my book chapter and return it quickly. She provided thorough editing that addressed spelling, grammar and word use, as well as general APA corrections and overall flow. I highly recommend and would use her services again.
