APICS Tampa Bay February 11, 2014 Professional Development Meeting

Topic: Culture + Patience = Sustainable Success

APICS Tampa Bay Professional Development Meeting, February 11, 2014 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm, Bascoms Chop House, 3665 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater FL 33762.  Our Speaker is Jason Wheeler, CPIM, CSCP and APICS Chairman of the Board. He will be speaking on the topic of Culture + Patience = Sustainable Success.  This will be a joint meeting with the Florida Gulf Coast Affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).

All the top companies seem to have a great culture (Google, DreamWorks Animation, Whole Foods), which others strive to emulate. Why are some successful and others not? How do you avoid the flavor of the month label when trying to roll out a new philosophy? During this presentation, we will review what seems to be a pretty simple philosophy. However, companies struggle with it every day. Why?

We will discuss some of the key factors for building a strong culture that will be sustainable for years to come. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of what it takes to make your new culture philosophy have that “stickiness” factor.
