APICS Tampa Bay May 13, 2014 Professional Development Meeting

APICS Tampa Bay invites local supply chain, operations management, transportation and logistics professionals to our Professional Development Meeting on May 13, 2014 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at Bascom's Chop House, 3665 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater FL 33762.  Our speaker is Debra Hansford, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP, C.P.M., CPSM and APICS Master Instructor. She will be speaking on the topic of Amazon Tampa Bay.  This will be a joint meeting with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP). 

Amazon is coming to town! What does that mean not only to residents of the Tampa Bay area, but also to consumers? How is Amazon disrupting the supply chain and distribution in particular? Is it ”all-good”? How do professionals in our field need to adapt for companies like Amazon, or do we? Is the status quo good enough to compete in today’s marketplace?

Join us for this lively event, where we discuss Amazon in Tampa Bay and how they are changing more than the local landscape!

People want to learn in fun environments and Deb delivers! She uses her practical experience in supply chain to help illustrate concepts along with simulations and games.  Some people see “outside the box” for creative ideas, but Deb has been accused of not seeing the box. Based on participant surveys, she takes that as a compliment.  

Deb is the owner of PreCrest, LLC since 2004 and encourages professionals and companies to “Learn More, Do More, Earn More”.

Agenda:

This dinner meeting includes your choice of soda, iced tea and coffee, dinner rolls and a mixed green salad.  Entree choices are Grouper A La Maniere, Chopped Steak, and Chicken Dijon with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Vegetable Medley.  Dessert is a choice of Cheese Cake or Belgian Triple Chocolate Torte.
