Welcome to MIST Atlanta 2020!  We're thrilled to continue offering Atlanta a platform to champion the incredible talent in our youth across Georgia. We appreciate your interest in applying to be a MIST MIST-Maker for MIST 2020, and can't wait to see how your dedication and passion make this the best year yet!

A MIST-Maker encompasses more than just volunteering. A MIST-Maker is a MIST leader. It will be someone that the competitors look up to in regards to leadership. It is someone parents, guests, and judges will look to for guidance.

MIST 2020 Venue: Georgia State University

Dates: Friday, April 10th to Sunday, April 12th.

Friday: Sports Only
Saturday: Competitions All Day
Sunday: Competitions Day / Awards Evening

*PLEASE NOTE: You can either be a judge OR an MIST-Maker BUT NOT BOTH (exception: if you are applying to volunteer for sports ONLY, you may be a judge as well).

Are you interested in applying to be an MIST-Maker Lead? As an MIST-Maker Lead, you will serve as a point person for a group of MIST-Makers and assist in running the Volunteer Info Desk. We do require at least one year of previous MIST volunteering experience to be an MIST-Maker Lead. Please note, a brief phone interview will be required upon application review. *

Service Team: serving our guests with excellence throughout the weekend via food set up, post-meal wrap-up, disposal of garbage, final Sunday cleanup
Registration Team: Assisting with registration for tournament attendees (check-in, name tags, orienting guests, etc.) Should have access to a laptop
Competitions & Programs Teams: Making sure all competitions and programs flow smoothly (providing materials for judges and workshop speakers, directing competitors, etc.)
Social Media Team: Capturing content and updates to be shared across social platforms and channels (Website, App, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Remind101)
Experience/Hospitality Team: Maintaining positive energy and acting as hosts & ushers who transform the tournament to an unforgettable experience
Soccer Crew: Helping manage soccer competition (scorekeeping, logistics, equipment, etc.)
Basketball Crew: Helping manage basketball competition (scorekeeping, logistics, equipment, etc.)
Coaches Liaison: Interfacing as a host with coaches and teams at MIST (you'll be a team cheerleader, guide, and personal navigator)
Security: Making MIST a safe, protected environment by being alert, observant, communicative, and prompt guards serving the needs of attendees
Awards Team: Organizing awards prior to the tournament and helping to set up awards venue and ceremony (i.e. designing location, laying out favors and trophies, ushering attendees, etc.)
Logistics Team: Ready for anything that may come up during MIST Weekend, able to support any of the above listed teams, and work with the logistics coordinators throughout the weekend
