The Blast took place took place on the 19th June at the MacDonald Hotel, Holyrood. Whistleblowers from across Scotland spoke out about their experiences and called for change. Doctors, nurses and ex-NHS Board members who have suffered and been bullied for speaking out issued a joint call for action to MSPs and the press. The film includes a look at Edinburgh Council's hotline and shows it could pave the way for the NHS. Opposition to change comes from both management and unions. Only one MSP, Jeremy Balfour, who played a pivotal role at Edinburgh Council for workers there, attended. The others were sorely missed. This video will hopefully help convince how why they can blow the winds of change- and make our NHS safer. ...more
