The Basic Needs Assistance Form is ONLY available for submissions regarding Housing Security Deposits starting May 27 - June 9. The Basic Needs Assistance Form will reopen on June 9 for standard services including Care Coordination, Basic Needs Emergency Funds, CalFresh Complications/Applications, Housing Security Deposits, and Resource/Referral sharing.

• HOUSING SEARCH SUPPORT: Students needing temporary, short-term and/or long term housing please consider options such as staying with family, friends, or sharing hotels with others in a similar situation or review the Basic Needs Center Housing Search Resources: https://tinyurl.com/bnchousing

• EMERGENCY FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Students currently enrolled in Summer courses, can access a Short Term Emergency Loan/Living Expenses Loan through the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office starting May 20 at 8 am. tinyurl.com/ShortE-Loan

All UC Berkeley students are eligible for a Housing Security Deposit, including grad, undergrad, international, and undocumented students. Unfortunately staff, faculty, and visiting scholars are ineligible to receive a Housing Security Deposit but can access our website to navigate additional resources.
