The UCLA Budget Coalition is a group of students who are proactively organizing to ensure that we have a state budget this year that will not harm students. The chapter works with students in all UC campuses to take unified actions towards the state government to defend higher education.

In his last year in office, Arnold Schwarzenegger promised that he will increase investment in higher education, and keep Cal Grants safe. So far, he has not been keeping his promise, and we must organize to make sure that happens.In addition. the 2/3 rule in the state legislature makes it more likely that Cal Grants become a bargaining chip, and puts it in danger of being eliminated.

Please join the coalition, in defense of college affordability, while gaining fun worthwhile experiences meeting and working with other passionate students!! We welcome students of all experiences, as everyone deserves to have an opportunity to have their voices heard.
