- Draw around the book onto the cardboard. Leave a space for the spine and draw around the book again.
- Grown-ups, cut out the the book shape.
- Place the ruler against one of the middle lines and fold the card over the ruler. Do the same with the other line to form the shape of the book.
- Paint both sides and leave to dry.
- Fold the paper in half.
- Wrap the ribbon inside the book and tie a bow at the back.
- Feed the paper under the ribbon to keep it in place.
- To make ties for the book, glue 2 pieces of ribbon on either side.
- Decorate the book with drawings or food items cut from magazines.
