Join Capital Cause every month from September - December in 2013 as we volunteer to support youth participating in US Dream Academy at DC's Turner Elementary.  Youth, who are part of the US Dream Academy, are from some of DC's most impoverished neighborhoods and troubled homes. However, they are bright, intelligent and poised to be our  nation's next leaders. Together we will work with the Dream Academy to involve youth in charitable activities that teach them all about giving back, philanthropy and achieving their dreams!

We will volunteer every 4th Saturday of the month.  You do not have to participate every month in order to be involved.

Our only ask is for Young Philanthropists - who are charitably-minded and interested in giving time to make a difference in the life of elementary students - to step up and help out!

November 23, 2013 - Join us for a Thanksgiving-themed service activity that will involve Young Philanthropist Pen Pals and Turner Elementary youth in giving back to local families.

December 14, 2013  - Join us for Christmas-themed event where Young Philanthropist Pen Pals will gift each Dream Academy youth with two Christmas gifts - one for them and one for another child in need!  

COMPLETED PROJECTS:
September 28, 2013 - 10:00am - NOON - Completed!  Young Philanthropists made pen pal journals and kicked off a writing relationship with their 3rd, 4th and 5th grade future Changemakers.
