The auditions for brass and woodwinds will be by video submissions.  Please fill out the audition form and paste your video link in the space provided.

Please submit by June 30th, 11:59pm 

    The video should be 3:00-4:00 minutes, and highlight your abilities on your instrument.

    Please include:

Chromatic scale (using your school or district requirements)

2 Major Scales of your choice, 1 of those should be 2 octaves

A short etude or excerpt of your choosing.

Follow the steps below to audition for the

2024 Chanticleer Regiment Percussion Section

Audition Camps at the CCU Band Hall (120 Winyah Rd. Conway, SC)

 May 11th 12pm-6pm Battery Only

June 15th 12pm-6pm Battery/Front Ensemble

We highly encourage students to attend both camps, but understand if there are conflicts.

In the case where both camps are missed, we’re offering an option to submit a video audition.

Video Submission Instructions 

Submit Your Percussion Audition Video 

The auditions for the color guard will be by video submission.  Please fill out the audition form and paste your video link in the space provided.  Please submit by June 4th, 11:59PM

The video should include:

 3 fundamental skills

 3 tosses

 1-1 ½ minute self choreographed routine to music of your choosing.

The auditions for twirlers will be by video submission.  Please fill out the audition form and paste your video link in the space provided.  

The video will be two parts. The first part of the video is the required tricks below done individually.
-3 Turn or higher
-Toss Illusion or Multiple Illusions
-Toss Reverse Illusion or One Turn Cross
-Toss Cartwheel or Toss Walkover
-High toss low toss one turn (two baton)
-Left pinky flip, into showers catch behind the back (two baton)
-Two 8 counts of continuous 3 baton juggles with whips
-One eight count of box juggles
-Splits Both Ways
-Toss leap or Toss Double Leap
-Toss High Kick

The second part of the video will be a 2-3 minute video to an upbeat song of your choice. The routine should be your own choreography, but please include the tricks listed below somewhere within your routine. We are looking for performance and field coverage skills with this one so really make sure you shine during your routine!
-3 Turn
-Illusion of your choice
-Toss double leap
-Series of rolls
-High level two baton series
-Variety of 3 baton
-Variety of catches
-Variety of leaps
