During the week of August 5th-13th challenge yourself (or your whole family) to eat locally! You can also participate in events and workshops all weeklong!

Saturday, August 5th from 11:00-12:30 at the fairgrounds learn what to do with extra garden produce. A cooking class with Mardell Gunn.

Monday, August 6th from 4:30-7:00 yoga in the Marvin Garden with Mandy Ramsey followed by garden salad feast. $20 suggested donation to support the student-run gardening education program.

Wednesday, August 9th from 5:00-7:00 at the Senior Center-making crab cakes with Travis Kukull.

Thursday, August 10th from 11:00-12:00 at the Jilkaat Kwaan Heritage Center in Klukwan, join Lani Hotch for a presentation on subsistence salmon harvesting. Rides will be provided from town. Meet at the Marvin Garden at 10:30.

Saturday, August 12th from 4:00-8:00 at the Mosquito Lake Community Center- The Upper Valley Art Exhibition with local appetizers. Meet at the Marvin Garden at 3:30 for a ride from town.

Sunday, August 13th from 4:00-5:00 at old Raevyn's Cafe in the fairgrounds, learn how to use wild harvested foods with Robert and Tawny from the Beach Rose.

Sunday, August 13th from 5:30-7:30 at the Park Stage in the fairgrounds join for the community local foods celebration potluck. Please bring a local dish to share and your own plates and utensils.
