The Diocese of Exeter is working with Citizen UK to act as a key Sponsor in Devon to co-ordinate providing 50 places for Ukrainian refugees.
"Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:2
This bespoke local scheme will offer a route to those who want to come to the UK who have someone here willing to provide them with a home. It will enable individuals to volunteer accommodation, with the peace of mind of working with trusted partners who will provide a route to safety for Ukrainians, and their immediate family members, forced to escape their homeland. The Diocese will be committed to working with individuals and their church communities to offer on going practical and prayerful support.
Sponsors should provide accommodation for as long as they are able, but we have a minimum expectation of six months.
