Coming Unraveled

Rate this book
Take one dose of a sexy physician, mix with an angsty pharmacist, and insert undeniable chemistry.

After one wild night in Vegas (and too much tequila), Everleigh finds herself in bed with a man she can’t stand and a ring on her finger. It doesn’t help that the man in question knows all the ways to push her buttons, even with his lickable abs and chiseled chest. The life she’s built, with her secrets locked up tight, is threatened when he decides he wants more than her in his bed - he wants her heart.

Brooks had wanted the hot pharmacist from the first moment he saw her. Except she shoots him down at every advance, so he hands it over to fate. But fate doesn’t anticipate someone from Everleigh’s past intent on keeping her for himself.

"You're more than this woman who has her defenses up twenty-four seven. You're more than this woman angry at the world. You're more than the career you've worked so hard for. You're just more, and I want to be the one to break you free."

I have absolutely loved this series! I so wish Carson NC was a real place - I know I'd go live there! This one had me heartbroken, angry at Everleigh, angry at Brooks, hopeful for both, and in some places, it had my readers fogged up!

Everleigh has done nothing but fight with Brooks McCafferty. He just pushes her buttons and makes her so mad!! All the time! But, man is she attracted to him. Not good. So, when she wakes up in Vegas married to him, she can't let this marriage continue. She'll do what she has to do to push him away. She can't be what he wants - ever. She never will be. He deserves so much better than her. Her secrets have darkened her soul to the point where, if she stays with him, he'll eventually see how damaged she is, and he'll destroy her heart. She'll never have what her siblings have - love, happiness, children. But, no matter how hard she works at making him hate her, there he is - still fighting for her - for them. Could she really let him love her? Could she ever love him back? What will happen when he discovers what she's been hiding all these years - from everyone?

Brooks McCafferty knew from the minute he first saw her, before he even spoke to her, that he was going to make her his. She brings out the protective caveman in him, and he can't explain it. After a tequila infused night in Vegas, he makes good on that promise to himself. But now, she's doing everything in her power to destroy it. He may not understand it but he's not going to let her succeed. He will do whatever he has to in order to make her see that he's not going anywhere, no matter how hard she pushes. He knows she has secrets that she's not ready to tell, but he'll make sure she knows that no matter what they are, she's his. Forever.

I'll be honest, Everleigh is pretty mean to Brooks. I'm not certain I would have had the patience he had with her, no matter how much I cared about the person. Props to the Doc! Then, Brooks does something that actually had me calling him some not so very nice names under my breath as I read. Their relationship seemed nothing but contentious, and the coupling seemed a bit unlikely. But once the reasons for Everleigh's behavior were brought to light, I was routing for them both!

Can't wait to see what's next for Carson!!

**I did not read this book, and my reasons for why follow, and therefore am not rating it, but am sharing what I learned to save others with safety issues such as mine. **

Based upon reviews - Hero claims he knew heroine would change his life immediately after meeting her. A tragedy in her past causes her to turn down his invitations though she's wildly attracted to him and he her. Hero gives up. Doesn't fight for her, for them, and instead moves on, sleeping with a woman that lives in the same town (this does not happen in this book, but we know it did take place in earlier books), a woman he knows heroine will see him with. And, if they ever get a chance to be together, heroine will always see this woman, knowing she slept with him.

Also, hero and heroine marry in Vegas, he disappears afterward for a legitimate reason, but doesn't contact the heroine nor tell her why. Heroine feels she's too broken for him, knows he deserves more. Hero grants her annulment, but isn't giving up. His plan? He purposefully lets heroine believe he's already moved on, and then brings said woman to town when he returns with the intent to essentially rub it into heroine's face. Yet, he still sleeps with heroine, then tells her he has a date for the event he returned for, and continues to be intimate with heroine, leading her to believe he's a cheater.

How in the heck does this man's actions have any hope of convincing the heroine, the woman he claims to want, that he is all about her, and only her, when he acts like and treats her in this way?

He's a disgusting zero.

Everleigh and Brooks have a contentious relationship in the earlier books in the series (which I have not read), so when Coming Unraveled opens with the two of them in bed together and suddenly married, it makes sense that Everleigh is freaking out. Once they return home from Vegas though, Brooks disappears for a month and Everleigh initiates the annulment process. But once Brooks returns back home, he refuses to give in that easily.

There were two things that kept me from liking this book. First one is the writing. It was too wordy and flowery for my taste and I felt that the author was pushing too hard with the ridiculous adjectives, but still managed to use the word “shutter” three times when she meant “shudder”.

“Yes, ma’am,” the raven skinned woman exclaims…

Besides the color of her beautiful obsidian colored skin…

Is this woman burned to a charcoal colored crisp? Because that’s the image I got with those word choices.

…she thinks to herself as she looks into the chambray colored eyes…

Maybe I live under a rock, but I had to google “chambray”. JUST SAY BLUE-GREY.

The second reason I didn’t enjoy the book was because the characters played too many games, and I’m not a fan of games, especially ones done to intentionally hurt or make the other character jealous. We’ll begin with this:

*A flashback scene (Brooks thinking about Everleigh) from one of the earlier books before they get together* …he knows at that moment that everything in him is for her. His heart, his soul, his being.

Then why the hell does he bring another woman to Everleigh’s sister’s baby shower. A woman he was hooking up with in an attempt to push Everleigh from his mind. Who does that to the woman they’re so desperately in love with??

Brooks is tired of Everleigh pushing him away, and I understand that he’s tired of being rejected, but what he does next is to purposely make her jealous, knowing it will hurt her, and he watches her in pain, all because he’s convinced it’ll get her to want him more.

Everleigh’s sister is getting married, and at this point has accepted that she wants Brooks, and one of Everleigh’s sisters has even called him to tell him this. But it’s not good enough for him, so he decides he’s going to bring another woman to her sister’s wedding. Again, he brings another woman to parade around in front of Everleigh’s family, humiliating and hurting her. How. Fucking. Romantic.

THEN, he sleeps with her at the reception and immediately after returns to his other date. He watches from the sidelines while Everleigh drinks herself into oblivion to get rid of the pain, and never bothers to tell her he isn’t actually sleeping with the other woman. So, Everleigh of course thinks he just cheated with her, and she thanks him for not telling OW and causing a scene. This is Brooks’s next thought:

Did she really think he is a cheater? That he would bring one date and go off with another woman if they were official? She has to know him better than that.

Of course that’s what she thought! It’s what he wanted her to think! So he gets offended by her falling for the game he’s playing, a game he has played with her before.

Everleigh was harsh and immature and yeah, she pushed Brooks away for pretty logical reasons, and I don’t care if Brooks’s games achieved what he wanted, because I’m convinced there are better ways to make someone love you than purposely hurting them. And this book just pushed the idea that the best way to get what you want is to scheme and cheat (not just with Brooks, her sisters were up to shit, too). I’d be ashamed if my son ever pulled half the crap Brooks did and I certainly don’t respect heroes like Brooks.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Coming Unraveled started out promisingly, it was well paced and the sex scenes were definitely hot!

Brooks is a sweet alpha doctor who wants Everleigh. Everleigh is a smart woman who has commitment issues but is attracted to the sexy doctor. After reading the first few chapters I found it hard to connect with Everleigh. She is attracted to Brooks, falling into his arms but then immediately pushes him away, over and over again. It is obvious that she has been affected by something in her past but I found it was hard to get inside her head, especially as the book is written in the third person. Brooks is persisting with her, and I did enjoy his character until he started playing games to force Everleigh's hand. All of the family seemed to be in on "The Plan".

Much of the first third of the story was recapping previous books of the series, which I have to admit I haven't read but really feel I would have been better off reading the others first, although it is billed as a stand-alone. I had a lot of trouble keeping the characters and plot lines of the other books straight in my head. References are made to encounters Everleigh and Brooks had in the previous instalment, having not read those I felt my connection to these leads lacking.

I do feel that if I had read the previous books of the series I could have rated Coming Unraveled higher, however, I constantly felt like I was missing the depth of the story. The storyline was fairly predictable despite this I would like to read the next book in the series as I am now familiar with the characters.

If you are looking to read a romance series, give this one a try, but please start with book one!

What happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas or never should have happened at all. Now that Everleigh is back home in Carson, NC, she wants to forget about her night with Brooks and blame it on too much to drink and loneliness. She has no memory of the wedding but she will relive the hot and steamy wedding night for the rest of her life. It is hard not to be attracted to Brooks with his killer body, sexy smile and baseball player swagger He is also a brilliant doctor who saved the life of her friends baby boy. What more could a woman ask for? What Everleigh wants is for Brooks to leave her alone and forget he ever married her, because he deserves a woman who is whole inside, not someone like her, who hides her past from the world and would rather be alone. Her own family has no idea what she went through in high school and even though she loves them, she was too ashamed to share her ordeal with them. Everleigh would love to confide in Brooks to finally chase the nightmares out of her heart but she can’t do it. She doesn’t deserve his love and she never will.

The first time Brooks saw Everleigh he knew his life would never be the same. He felt an immediate and powerful need to have her and always protect her With her shiny blonde hair and petite, sexy body, she was a dream come true and he would love her forever. The only problem was her sharp tongue and her “stay away from me” attitude.
She opened up to him while they were in Vegas about her desire to find love with her soulmate, start a family and be as happy as her sisters are with their husbands. So he knows how she really feels, and he will use this to his advantage. Something in her past has caused her to be afraid to take a chance on love and Brooks is determined to show Everleigh how much he loves her, even though she keeps pushing him away. She is his everything and he can’t imagine a life without her by his side.

Will Everleigh continue to fight her feelings for Brooks and accept that he truly loves her or will she be a prisoner to her past forever?

What will Brooks do to convince Everleigh that she is the only one for him and that he will always be there for her?

Brooks fought for Everleigh’s love throughout “ Coming Unraveled” and she made him work for every piece of her heart. I didn’t always agree with how he treated her, but he did what he thought was best. Everleigh did everything she could to reject his advances and was oftentimes rude and confused. The road to love is never easy and the journey may be difficult, but in the end, romance and happiness will prevail. I love Renee’s Coming to Carson series and I am looking forward to the next book, “Coming Unplugged.”

OHHH What a great addition to the series. I love a storyline that you think is going to go one way then poof it goes another and leaves you thinking HOLY COW that is not what I was expecting to happen. Well Coming Unravelled did that for me.

So what happens when you go to your sister’s wedding in Vegas, celebrate a little toooo much and wake up married to the guy you have the hots for but hate at the same time? Well just ask Everleigh, our Carson City pharmacist. She and Brooks seem to have had this love/hate thing going on. Brooks is crazy about Everleigh and thrilled they secretly married in Vegas but Everleigh, not so much. But Brooks isn’t going down without a fight. However Everleigh has some secrets that not even her loving family know about. Secrets that she knows could destroy Brook’s career so she wants/needs the wedding annulled and annulled fast.

This book is wonderfully written with a funny and heartwarming storyline that will have you grinning at their antics, laughing at the strangest times and wanting to just say OH NO at other times. I highly recommend this very entertaining and heartwarming book as well as the entire Welcome to Carson Series. They are great reads with lots of love, laughs and sighs to be had. Grab them today, you won’t be sorry you did.

This is by far my favorite book in this series! Everleigh and Brooks own my heart! With each book in this series my favorite couple has changed but I can honestly say it won't again. I'm so similar to Everleigh that I feel I can truly relate to her. When she cried, I cried. When she was happy, I was happy. I wanted her to succeed which gave me hope.

Everleigh--despises Brooks but not because she doesn't like him, it's actually the opposite. Everleigh is determined to never repeat her mistakes but Brooks can be the one to test her and make her push her own limits.

Brooks--is the good looking doctor plus ex-baseball player. His reputation proceeds him however Everleigh is different from him. From the moment he sees her he feels the need to protect her however, that's the last thing Everleigh wants.

Brooks fights harder than anyone I've ever seen and it only made me love him more. Once Everleigh's secrets come out you have a better sense of why she fights Brooks so hard. However, the ending will give you everything you need!

It's been a while since I read a book from this series but it wasn't long before I felt a connection to all the characters again. When Brook first set eyes on Everleigh he instantly felt a connection towards her and a feeling that he needed to protect her. Everleigh isn't about to let another man into her heart. She can't. She won't, because she feels she isn’t destined to be loved or deserves to have the love that her brothers and sisters have with their partners. Plus she won't give another man the power to hurt her again. Brook is a hot-headed man that won't be deterred though, and he makes it his mission to prove to Everleigh just how much he wants her. But will she push him away once too often? Will he eventually just give up? I really enjoyed this story. The author has the ability of pulling you into her stories and, believe me, at times I wish I was, so I could slap them both upside the head. You did it again. An amazing story that’s a must read from me

DNF at 4%.

This has to be a new first, to give up on a book after just 4%! I have no idea whether the plot is going to be good or bad, I liked the premise - two enemies get married in Vegas (who doesn't love that plot) - but the writing made it impossible for me to continue without doing physical harm to myself and others.

Firstly the book is written in the present tense "Evelyn is X, Evelyn is Y" ad nauseum. I've read YA, present tense and first person POV are an irritant but not a deal breaker. Secondly the sentence construction is convoluted and twists and turns so much that sometimes the meaning is totally lost
She learned to stay out of people's business if she didn't want hers dug into.
The author uses "in lieu of" in the wrong context when she means 'as a result of'. And there's slut shaming when the 'heroine' talks about how
Tiffany, the town trollop, had hung all over Brooks at the baby shower...
There are names and relationships thrown around with no context, presumably as a recap on the previous books in this series (there have been four? Really?) but frankly for a new reader it is just unintelligible.

This appears to be self-published, in my opinion the author needs to get a professional editor and work on sentence construction - there could be an amazing story here but the writing prevented me from reading further.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Who doesn’t love a good love battle? Where one party wants the marriage to work and the other party is fighting their desires. This is what Coming Unraveled is all about.

Ever heard that famous saying ‘What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’? Well its safe to say that Everleigh wants that to happen.

A few too many tequilas and she finds herself married to Brooks McCafferty.

Throughout the story Everleigh fights with Brooks, who is the new resident Dr in Carson NC, her hometown. There is something about Brooks that pushes Everleigh’s buttons and gets her riled up. All the damn time.

Not wanting to give into her attraction to Brooks, Everleigh knows that she must get let go of her marriage and make this man leave for good. She will and does whatever she can to push Brooks away, believing that she will never be good enough for this fine man. It was heart breaking to read Everleigh fighting her temptations. Surely, she must realise that Brooks is perfect for her. Or will she allow her dark secrets ruin her one chance at happiness? If she tells Brooks, will he see her as a damaged woman?

Brooks McCafferty knew from the first moment he saw Everleigh or even spoke to her, that she was the one for him. There’s something about her that brings out this over protectiveness in him that he has never experienced. As a man who keeps his promises, he is willing to give this relationship a real fighting chance. But, Everleigh is doing everything in her power to break everything they have. But a man on a mission, a mission that is love, knows that he will have to do everything in his power to make Everleigh see that he isn’t going anywhere, no matter how hard she tries.

At first, I found Everleigh to be mean and cold hearted, but as you read more of her story you realise that she is so scared off having her heart and trust broken. She carries some scars that she has buried from everyone. And not wanting to relive her worst nightmare is making her cold and mean. Once I realised that her attitude to Brooks was a defence mechanism I warmed up the character rather quickly.

I loved Brooks character, although at one point in the story, I got so mad at him. I’m not going to say much about it, other than I kind of got where he was coming from, in a sense. He certainly has to have a lot of patience to keep on fighting for want he wanted, so a little slip has to be forgivable.

So, if you’re in the mood for some heroine angst and a alpha Dr, then this is the book for you

Brooks, a doctor, and Everleigh, a pharmacist, have been attracted to each other since they first met. Though Brooks knew that moment forever changed his life and that at some point Everleigh would be his, she fought it with every breath due to something in her past she hasn't shared with anyone.

When they're in Vegas, they share an amazing night together, as well as a wedding, though Everleigh can't remember the latter. Shortly after, Brooks ghosts on her, though he has a very good reason, it's just one he hasn't shared with her...yet.

Brooks refuses to give up, especially now that Everleigh is officially his, but while he's trying to build a future with her, the past that has never stopped haunting her resurfaces and threatens their present.

Can Brooks keep Everleigh safe? Will Everleigh ever tell Brooks what happened years ago? Can Brooks convince Everleigh they're meant to be? Is a HEA possible?

One-click now and follow along as two people finally get the future they've always been meant to have. While I liked the premise, I was severely disappointed in Brooks and that lessened not only my enjoyment of the book but also my respect for him and his belief that he ever truly cared for Everleigh. He says, numerous times, that upon seeing Everleigh he knew his life would include her and he was all in, and yes, Everleigh pushed him away and turned him down numerous times due to a tragedy in her past that she's never told anyone, but if Brooks was truly an alpha, truly cared about Everleigh and knew she was it for him, he would've NEVER been with another woman, especially one that Everleigh sees around town all the time, that would then always be a part of his and Everleigh's lives, even if only indirectly due to proximity, which means she would see this reminder of him sleeping with someone else while trying to be with her. Despite Everleigh not accepting his invitations, a true alpha that declared a woman as his would never stop fighting for her. My rating would be so much higher if it wasn't for Brooks inability to keep it in his pants all while claiming to want the heroine. It's disrespectful to her, the feelings he claims to have for her, and shows his lack of character. - By Elizabeth

Everleigh has secrets from her past that changed her. Her walls are higher band thicker than a state penitentiary. She lets no one in! Her work is her life.
Unfortunately living in Carlson means she comes face to face with her past occasionally, but she manages it.

Brooks is a past baseball player, turned paediatrician. He sets up practice in Carlson. From the moment he sees Everleigh, he wants her.

This tiny woman is like a hurricane..she hates him is angry at him and even gives him a black eye to prove it. When her sister gets married in Vegas, Everleigh and Brooks are there along with the rest of her family. However, after a drunken night of tequila, Everleigh suddenly has a husband. She has no recollection of how it happened and fight Brooks all the way.
When an opportunity comes his way, he takes it after Everleigh rejects him again. He is off to follow his dreams. Everleigh comes to the conclusion that she made a huge mistake in letting him go.
When he appears to have moved on and her past comes knocking her life is shattered. She runs! Brooks however is not giving up.

Quite honestly, I though Brooks was great until he pulled a dick move. Everleigh is extremely forgiving though.. I would have castrated him..just saying.

Anyway, he stands by her.but a piece of her is gone. They start getting closer, but his commitments come calling. Suddenly he isn't sure where he stands with her. She is on radio silence.

Can these two get it together?
Should they just walk away?
Is Everleigh to damaged or will she give Brooks the chance he deserves?

Well written, steady flowing storyline. Chemistry galore and a stunning character in Everleigh ( I thought she was too soft though and could have had more of a backbone when it came to Brooks, that is my personal opinion though.

This is a must read! Cannot wait for the next in the series.

Coming Unraveled is Book 5 in the Welcome to Carson Series. This is the first book in the series I have read and had no trouble getting invested into the story. Though I think if if a reader reads the whole series they are in for a treat.

Brooks has been attracted to Everleigh ever since he saw her. It seems the snarker she is the more he's determined that she's his. The handsome doctor that there is more to her than meets the eye.

After a night of passion in Vegas Everleigh has the face the realization that they are now married and she has no memory of the wedding.

At first I'm not a very big fan of Everleigh's. She just comes across as mean. The further into the book I got the more I got to see glimpses of the real Everleigh. She's closes herself off from people to protect herself from being hurt.

Brooks is one in million. He is so kind hearted and seems to know just what Everleigh needs. Even things she's not even aware she wants. He knows there is more to her that what everyone sees. Truthfully I'm was impressed with how much patience he has. If it had been me I'd walked away a long time ago. Sometimes the things you have to fight the most for end up being more than worth it in the end.

Is Everleigh going to be successful at pushing Brooks away or is she going to realize how much he means to her before he shuts the door to their future.

What I absolutely love about this book is the wonderful characters. They have that small town vibe that is so heart warming that leaves you yearning for more. I also found this book very entertaining and even laughed a few times as I read along. I can't wait for the next addition to this wonderful series.

This is book 5 in the Welcome to Carson series-Coming Unraveled is a sexy book with love and angst. I have fell in love with the town of Carson and all the characters in this series. You can read it as a standalone, but you will love it more and understand the history if you read the whole series.
Everleigh is the town Pharmacist and Brooks is the new Pediatrician. Brooks has had feelings for Everleigh since the day he laid eyes on her. Everleigh has fought her feeling for Brooks and guarded her herat, not wanting to be heartbroken by the sexy alpha male.
After a night in Vegas and too much tequila Everleigh wakes up in bed with a naked Brooks and does not have any recognition of what happen or how they ended up together. When Brooks shows her the marriage license she is in shock. It brings true what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, because Everleigh can not and does not want anyone to know that they are marred.
Brooks fights for what they have even when Everleigh pushes him away. He will protect her and love her until the end and will not give up on what they have. He knows that they are meant to be together and hopes that she will see it too before it is too late.
Will she give in or will she lose the man that loves her unconditionally? Will she leave her past behind and see that she deserves what all the others have and let Brooks be her forever?
This book will make you wish you lived in the small town of Carson and will leave you wanting more. It will have you laughing and screaming at how these too push and pull each other.
One Click this one and the rest of the series you will not be disappointed.

I have been a fan of the Welcome to Carson series since book one and every time I read a new book in the series it's like getting back together with a group of close friends and family. It's familiar and comfortable and they never fail to entertain me.

Book 5 is all about Everleigh and Brooks and they are putting up one heck of a fight! One wants to make it work and the other wants nothing to do with it...until she does.

The confusion of not really knowing what Everleigh wants really pulled me in emotionally. Truly enjoyable in this story was the dichotomy of wanting him but not wanting to give him full access to her fragile heart. A past relationship has broken her and coming to the realization that someone could love her, is difficult for Everleigh. Her past is ugly and harsh and brings the drama to the forefront of the story, keeping the reader pulled in until the very end.

And it doesn't help that Brooks is hot and quite swoon-worthy! His determination throughout the entire story makes him one of my favorite male characters this year. While he knows what he wants...he isn't afraid to play a little dirty to get it, all while making sure Everleigh knows she is his #1 priority!

Reading time for this story was just a little over 3 hours.

Looking forward to Coming Unplugged!

Giving Coming Unraveled 4 stars.

Coming Unraveled is Renee Harless's next installment in her Welcome to Carson Series this one focusing on Everleigh and Brooks on their journey to HEA. 💕

These two we've met in previous books and quickly find out that Everleigh has walls around her heart; she pushes Brooks and their push and pull is what make their story and their chemistry so amazing! Brooks sets his sites on Everleigh and never looks back. While Everleigh stands firm in her stubbornness and hides behind her walls. I won't lie when I first started reading this book Everleigh's inability to let Brooks in was super frustrating; but once you finally find out why those walls are there; your heart just breaks for her and what's she's been through and has carried on her shoulders all these years. She's been keeping some seriously heartbreaking secrets that not even her family knows about.

This book has it all the love, heartbreak, mystery & action that we know and love with The Welcome to Carson Series all while your left wondering once all the secrets are out will Brooks and Everleigh stop fighting each other and start fighting for their happily ever after together? Coming Unraveled was so good & I can't wait to see where Renee Harless takes us next 💋

I absolutely loved Brooks and Everleigh's story and I'm so glad that it was finally told!! I've been rooting for this couple since the very first book in the series and their story definitely did not disappoint.

The relationship between Everleigh and Brooks is very different compared to other in the series. There is a continuous push and pull throughout the book. Everleigh is not the nicest to Brooks and believes she doesn't deserve him. Brooks on the other hand loves Everleigh immensely but just can't seem to make her understand. Just when you think that things are finally going to fall into place another twist or turn appears. I found myself laughing at their comments one minute and completely annoyed with their decisions or actions the next. I was captivated the entire time because I couldn't wait to find out what happened next.

Overall I'm thrilled that they got the happy ending that they deserved. There were many times I wondered about the direction they were headed but once Everleigh's past was brought to light so many events and comments and actions started to make sense. Both Brooks and Everleigh are strong characters and although they tend to clash, deep down they love each other. When they finally allow themselves to go for it they're a beautiful couple.

Well done Renee!!

Wow, wow, wowza. Book 5 in the "Welcome to Carson series" is one fantabulous read. It started out in Vegas baby, and how can you go wrong there? Brooks and Everleigh had gone to Vegas to watch Everleigh's sister get married in a wedding chapel by Elvis Presley. Everleigh over indulges on tequila and winds up married to Brooks. The next morning she is regretting it and is already trying to push him away but he's having none of it. Once they get back home, Brooks is called away on an emergency for his grandmother, but he didn't take time to explain this to his new bride, he just left. Problem, he's gone for a little over a month and he didn't even try to contact his new bride. When he finally gets home guess what's waiting for him? You are going to have to read the book to find out.
This book was laugh out loud funny at times and at other time I just wanted to put my hands around the necks of both Everleigh and Brooks and squeeze the life out of them because they were both so hardheaded. I would definitely recommend this book because it's a great read with lots of laughs, love, and some very hot sex. You might want to check out the rest of the series while you are at it if you want a little danger added in. You won't regret it.

Coming Unraveled was a sweet romance read that had me hooked from the moment I read what is was about. It has been a while that I have read a book about two people who wake up in Vegas married. This story had an interesting storyline with characters that I enjoyed reading about.

Everleigh was a strong female character that had a hard past that she kept hidden from people. This caused her to have trouble with letting herself feel anything for others and to be in a relationship with other people. I really enjoyed the growth this character went through in this story and the way the author portrayed this character.

Brooks is a sexy alpha male who is also the towns sexy doctor. I really loved this character and the way that he cared for Everleigh and her family. It was obvious how much of a caring guy he was.

Coming Unravelled is about Everleigh, who has a drunken night in Vegas and wakes up married to the guy she can’t stand, town doctor Brooks.

I really liked the characters together and found they had strong chemistry between them. I enjoyed the secondary characters in the story and the relationships the main characters had with the secondary characters. This was sweet romance read that a good amount of angst and drama within it.

Simply Amazing!
I received An ARC for an honest review

Everliegh the pharmacist.
Brooks the doctor. He wanted her since the first time he laid eyes on her. Now he wants All of her,With all his Heart.

Tequila, Everliegh never could remember anything, She is laying next to a naked man in bed in Las Vegas...Brook and her.
They have CHEMISTRY, can't keep their hands off of each other.

There is love, mystery, action, heartbreak, all in this book.
The sex scenes are Out of this world,HOT.

This book is so awesome.
It has some very strong women in it.
I kept on thinking Why? She kept pushing Brooks away when she wanted him.
There is a series of events that occurred in Everliegh's life that no-one was aware of.
It can happen to many, and has.

Brook, wow, -he knows just how to draw her out of herself.

"You snooze,you lose, gorgeous."

"I want this house. It's mine."

Everliegh's brothers , sisters and parents are loving and very supportive. They help her deal with things.

Do they stay together?...
The characters are wonderful!
Loved It!
Renee you did a great Job!

I should have known Renee Harless would have done it again..Coming Unraveled is about Brooks , the local Pediatrician ,and Everleigh the town pharmacist. Everleigh has this hard exterior that she likes to show to everyone including Brooks. Brooks finds a way to peel back that exterior a little at a time, and after a night of too much Tequila, they find them selves married .As Everleigh tries to back away from Brooks, she finds her self more drawn to him, but that is also from Brooks not letting her go....Brooks is offered a great job that keeps him out town for long periods of time, that gives Everleigh too much time to think . She has a secret that even her family doesn't know about. When that secret is revealed, Everleigh thinks everyone is trying to pity her. Wait a second.......

I could sit and talk about the rest if the story. but then you won't have to read it. This is a must read, you won't be sorry...

When Everleigh attended her sister’s wedding in Vegas she never expected that she would be the one coming home married with memories of the wedding night but not the wedding. This will not be a case of what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas as the groom is Brooks, a fellow resident of Carson.

Brooks is not disappointed with the situation but trying to convince Everleigh that it wasn’t a mistake and that they belong together is proving much more challenging then he thought.

Everleigh is damaged by the past that she has never shared with anyone and she believes that Brooks deserves better than her. She is bound and determined to not let him breach the walls she has built around her heart but will Brooks be patient enough to tear it down piece by piece?

Both Everleigh and Brooks made mistakes but there is no denying the chemistry between them or that they are meant to be together. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Wow just wow, Renee Harless’ new release ‘Coming Unraveled’ is another level! This is the fifth book from Welcome To Carson series, and you must read the other ones (I swear -)

Brooks felt in love with Everleigh at the same time he meets her, but it doesn't seem so easy. One hot night with the physician won’t be enough to make up her mind so fast. He will need to face her secrets and her life. He will need to fight for her. They can't deny what they feel for each other, specially from Everleigh, but she doesn't want any ring on her finger to say that she belongs to him. She’s a typical heroine.

My favorite type of love stories! Yay!

I believe that this book came more mature, well, I think the whole series is coming in this way and Renee doesn't lost the shine of her stories. I’m happy to make part of this evolution, to see her growing like romance writer. Once again, this book made my reading flow so perfectly. I love when the book keeps egde on my seat.

My rating: 5/5

oks is head over heels in love with Everleigh, but there is something in her past keeping her at a distance. That is until the morning after a wild night in Vegas when she wakes up beside Brooks ... and married to him! Brooks knows that she is skiddish so he lets her keep their marriage a secret until he can change her mind about him.

Although the blurp peaked my interest and the beginning of the book was great, there was just a disconnect for me once all the other characters were introduced from previous books (which I did not read) because it said this was a standalone. I had a hard time keeping the characters straight and I think I would have like this book better had I read the other books first. Brooks seemed a little too good to be true to keep letting her push him aside soooo many times. But the sex scenes were really HOT and kept me turning the pages!

Renee Harless did an amazing job once again. I love all the Welcome to Carson books but Everleigh and Brooks is one of my favorites of the entire series. Coming Unraveled is about Brooks the town's Pediatrician and Everleigh the town's pharmacist. Everleigh has put up a wall to protect herself and to keep everyone arms length from everyone including her family and Brooks. But, Brooks is able to tear down a little piece of her wall at a time. After a drunk Vegas night Everleigh and Brooks find themselves married while Everleigh tries to push Brooks away she finds herself wanting to be with him while Brooks fights to keep her. Everleigh has a secret no one knows not even her family. Once the truth is released will Everleigh and Brooks be able to finally be together?

I love this series! With a fairly large number of siblings each having their own book, I wonder what the next book will hold in its pages. Each story is spicy served with a little danger. This one threw me for a loop. It wasn't what I was expecting. Brooks is an sexy alpha with a sweet side. How could he not when he works with babies? And he's a doctor! He also has a sweet spot for Everleigh, and he's determined to hang on to her. Everleigh is smart, attractive pharmacist, but keeps herself at a distance. I wanted to know why after reading about her various siblings. Her story is touching and tragic and is worth the read. And I always love reading about what the others in the Connely clan are up to, as well.

Brooks is a handsome doctor who fell head over heels for Everleigh the first time he set eyes on her but Everleigh had a secreted abusive past and kept pushing Brooks away feeling she wasn't worthy of someone loving her. Everleigh's past comes back to haunt her and Brooks is always there to protect her even through the trial of her ex that brought up her fears.. He knew in his heart that she loved him as much as he loved her; and he never gave up on her. This is a lovely romantic story, so well written that I couldn't put it down. I was given an advanced copy of this book for my honest opinion.

After a night in Vegas and too much tequila, Everleigh and Brooks end up married. Everleigh is driven to distraction by Brooks who knows which of her buttons to push. The chemistry between these two is insane, yet Everleigh is determined to push Brooks away, and he is just as determined that this will never happen. Brooks has the patience of a saint to deal with Everleigh, as she was downright mean to him. Yet when we find out the reason why she is this way, we can understand her better. This is a heartbreaking story, with secrets, which all had me captivated and intrigued throughout. I look forward to reading more of this authors’ work.
