COVID-19 Information

The health and safety of our conference guests, as well as our entire community, is of top priority to Boston University. We strongly recommend that everyone remain up to date with CDC COVID-19 vaccination recommendations.

Update

Beginning on May 23, 2023, proof of vaccination is no longer required to attend or participate in conferences and events occurring on the Boston University campuses. This applies to all summer programs with or without residential (overnight) housing as well as day-only events.

Please direct questions to the events specialist working with your organization.

For Summer programs with residential (overnight) housing

Cases while on campus: Management of any COVID-19 cases will be the responsibility of the client. Any attendees who test positive should be encouraged to leave campus as soon as possible. Any attendees who are unable to leave and remain on campus should be placed in a room with other positive attendees. Availability of isolation/quarantine housing is not guaranteed. The cost for the additional room(s) will be the responsibility of the client. Attendees who test positive must always wear a mask if they leave their room and are not permitted to eat inside the dining hall. Consult with your events specialist on operational protocols.

Note about Testing & Medical Support

Unfortunately, Boston University cannot provide attendees with COVID-19 testing or medical support, nor will the University provide isolation housing for anyone who tests positive or becomes symptomatic during their stay. For the comfort and safety of all, whenever possible, these attendees are expected to leave campus and isolate themselves based on CDC guidance. We realize there may be complicating factors, and we are prepared to advise on isolation options.
