Lazarus (Luke Bales Mysteries Book 2) Kindle Edition
"(Luke Bales Book 1) is an action-packed story, dumping you right into it from page one and not letting you out until it's all over...All in all, an excellent debut novel. I will definitely be looking for more from Mr. Foster." - Reader's Favorite
Aussie expat Luke Bales finally has everything he’s ever dreamed of — a popular bar on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, another one planned for Brooklyn, and a sheila most blokes would die for. But then Luke’s boyhood hero — Oz rock legend Ajax Farmer — arrives in New York to resurrect his career, bringing with him a cyclone of trouble. Soon Luke finds himself caught in a turf war between Harlem and Mexican drug lords, fighting to save not just Ajax’s reputation but everything he holds dear. Including his life.

About the Author
Simon Foster hails from Sydney, Australia, but has called New York home for many years.
He holds a degree in writing and pays the bills by working as an ad man: a job that, whilst ranking just above car salesman in the credibility stakes, has helped him hone his writing skills and seen him walk the red carpet at the Emmys. Married with two daughters, he spends his time working, writing and chasing errant children around the house. He cycles, reads and visits the pub for relaxation: not necessarily in that order.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2020Terrific page-turner. Luke Bales is always sticking his nose into trouble, but he can (usually) talk his way out of anything. Wonderful, Chandler-esque turns of phrase through-out. Exciting read, and just plain fun. I look forward to the next book and hope Bales' plans for a Red Hook bar work out.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2020The action starts in the first chapter and never stops. Numerous twists in the plot. It's hard to put the book down. Very descriptive. Australian slang adds a nice flavor and is easily understood in context.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real page-turner that is difficult to put down
I've been looking forward to a second outing with Luke Bales ever since I read the first, Wanderlust, and I have to say that the wait was definitely worth it! Lazarus is a cracker of a read, a real page-turner that is difficult to put down. Luke Bales #2 is even better that #1 and I look forward to #3.
