Thank you for your interest in the Baptist Conversations on Faith & Sexuality project! The goal of this collaborative project is to create a fundamentally different way for Baptists to engage in conversations about sexuality — one that models a vision of faith lived out in community. We aim to blend research, theology, and community-based efforts in order to produce free online materials that help churches and individuals learn more about sexuality and sexual ethics.
For this project, we define "sexuality" pretty broadly to include things like sexual identity, sexual practices, body image, romantic relationships, sexual desires, sexual limit-setting, and sexual violence. The project has several different phases, including assessing the current state of teachings about sexuality in Baptist communities (via an online survey found here:
www.tinyurl.com/faith-sexuality-survey), working collaboratively to produce online content about sexual ethics, and partnering with individuals and churches to shape how we talk about matters of sexuality.
Whether you are a scholar, minister, layperson, or other, we hope you'll consider getting involved in whatever way you feel led! Please enter your information below if you are interested in receiving updates about the project.
