BECOME A FRIEND OF ARRIVING NEW STUDENTS - FANS 2016!

If you want to become a Friend of Arriving New Students (FANS) for the Great Start Project 2016 then you can sign up here!

To have the chance of becoming a FAN you will need to be studying at (and have access to) the University of Westminster in September 2016. The FANS role will begin on Monday 19th September 2016 and will run through the whole of Induction / Orientation.

In order to become a FAN you will have to be trained for the role. A welcome and assessment meeting will run mid - April for you to learn more about the position. A 2 day training session will then take place in August 2016 (Dates TBC) to help you get ready for the role. Short briefing sessions will also take place just before you role begins.

In order to become a FAN you will need to be trained, will you be happy to attend a 2 day training course (complete with over night stay)? *
Exact dates for training have not been set however they will take place during August. If you are unavailable for training it is likely you will not be selected as training is essential to the role

Dates for these session have not yet been set but it is likely to place in the week before the role begins (this will be the week before Induction week). Along with the training, briefing sessions are also essential to the FANS role. The briefs will not be more than 1 - 2 hours long.
