BECOME A FRIEND OF ARRIVING NEW STUDENTS - FANS 2017!

To have the chance of becoming a FAN you will need to be studying at (and have access to) the University of Westminster in September 2017. The FANS role will begin on Monday 18th September 2017 and will run through the whole of Induction / Orientation.

In order to become a FAN you will have to be trained and briefed for the role. A welcome and assessment meeting will run mid - April in order for you to learn more about the position. A 2 day training session will then take place in August 2017 (Dates TBC) to help you get ready for the role. Short briefing sessions will also take place just before you role begins.

In order to become a FAN you will need to be trained, will you be happy to attend a 2 day training course (complete with over night stay)? *
Exact dates for training have not been set however the 2 days training will take place during August. If you are unavailable for training it is likely you will not be selected for the position as training is essential to the role. Would you be happy to attend?
Will you be available to attend 3 briefing sessions just before the FANS role begins?   *
Dates for the briefing sessions have not yet been set but it is likely to place in the week before the role begins (this will be the week before Induction week). Along with the training, briefing sessions are also essential to the FANS role therefore you will be required to attend. The briefs will not be more than 1 - 2 hours long, would be available to attend?
