We’re an anti-poverty charity & community of food banks, working together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank, while providing practical support for people left without enough money. (Please note we're unable to forward funds onto individual food banks, funds raised here go to Trussell)

Story

The Trussell Trust doesn't only  support a nationwide network of food banks and provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty  - they also campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
2020 was been a terrible year for people in poverty and more and more people are using foodbanks.
The Trussell Trust forecasts a 61% increase in food parcels needed across its UK network in October to December – six parcels given out every minute.   During the start of the pandemic around half of people who used a food bank had never needed one before.

The two ways i'm raising money are:

i've walked 3 miles a day on my local riverside walk, every single day for a whole year from 2nd April 2020 - and every time I hit a target of 100, 300, 500 or 1000 miles I announced it and asked people to support it.

I'm running free Zoom skills training workshops for anyone who wants to upskill for all sorts of contexts - I'm not charging but am inviting people to donate to the Trussell Trust.  Content is specific for the audience but includes setting up breakout rooms, security, meeting registration and reports, Zoom games, special sound settings for musicians and whatever else people want.  For more info and to register your interest in the training and find out about the next training dates,  go to www.tinyurl.com/fionazoomnewform

"Fiona quickly made me feel at ease with the training.  She is a clear communicator and has an ability to demystify the technical aspects and all the features that Zoom has to offer in a practical and hands on-way.  Her training felt intuitively thought through and was well-paced.  As a Facilitator, I have come away from the initial training with much more confidence in my ability to work across this platform with participants of my own sessions!”
