About the Author

Fireball Tim is Hollywood's go-to guy for wild and wacky rides. His creative thought and design, TV shows and toys populate kids' rooms around the world, spurring fun and zany ideas among many. From Hot Rods to Custom Cars, Movie Cars to Muscle Cars, Fireball Tim has done them all with youthful enthusiasm and inspiration.

Born in Hollywood California in 1965, Fireball Tim Lawrence (his legal name) is the son of famed screenwriter/producer Anthony Lawrence. Fireball Tim has built an extensive and unique career in the film industry having designed vehicles, weaponry, props, costumes and environments for hundreds of major features, TV and commercials. He comes from a complete Hollywood family including screenwriters Ethan Lawrence and Dee-Harris Lawrence.

Fireball's credits include stints as a designer for Walt Disney Imagineering from 1991-93 and Universal Studios Theme Park to movies like "Priest," "Gone in 60 Seconds," "Batman," "Monster Garage," "Jurassic Park," "GI Joe," "Knight Rider" and "The Avengers." Although his credits have surpassed 350.

And though Fireball Tim is constantly in demand as an Automotive Design Expert, AutoBlogger and Journalist, he is most sought now as an Automotive TV Host with many appearances on the Discovery Network and Speed Channel including "World's Most Expensive Rides," "Extreme Rides" and "Street Tuner Challenge." He always has several shows in the works. His company, Fireball Tim Worldwide, is the world's only Hollywood Automotive Lifestyle Brand, encompassing design and entertainment to which he hosts, designs and travels extensively for shows, plus raising awareness for sustainable products like Lifetime Oil Filter.

He has millions of followers through his Web Series on YouTube and also distributes worldwide via Car Domain, StreetFire, Facebook and Twitter, now being an icon in the Automotive Social Network scene. Fireball is also frequently seen at live events around the globe like SEMA in Las Vegas and Major Auto Shows. He attends close to 30 a year. His endeavors also include Design and Children's Books and Toys.

    Fireball Tim's BIG BOOK of WACKY RIDES is brilliant, funny and inventive! Fireball Tim's vivid and unique illustrations, relating a different subject and story on every oversized page, are unlike any I have ever seen before. My 3-year-old daughter loves books and can't get enough of BIG BOOK of WACKY RIDES, reading it multiple times before bed, fascinated and amused by every colorful and outrageous drawing as if they are a fun game! My daughter particularly LOVES the "THE SCREAMINATOR!" and "FLYING FREDDY'S TIME JUMPER!" She not only loves the silly rats and frogs that drive the out-of-this-world cars, but also the hilarious descriptions! She just got over a cold and couldn't stop laughing at "THE SNOT ROCKET" and its goofy red ant drivers! If it's Fireball Tim's desire to change how kids and adults read and enjoy children's books, then job well done!!! We are convinced that our daughter's love for mac 'n cheese comes from her love of the "MAC'S CHEESEY DRAGSTER!" We are so fortunate to have found this amazing new book. It's so awesome! You and your kids will love every page!!!!

    I've had the pleasure to meet Tim at a few shows, and to see his good-natured car mania translated to an actual book - never mind one for children - has me smiling. My kid's a car kid, and she thought it was a riot. So do I. It's a great book for sharing at bedtime (or whenever), and the art, printing, binding, and sturdiness of the thing should keep it around for a long, long time. My favorite part, as a parent, was the added questions/suggestions after each of the illustrations, meant to get the kids interested and involved... kinda what reading is supposed to be all about. So many people are condemning the car as the root of all evil, or worse, forgetting what an important part of our lives these machines are. Finally, a fun read that just might get younger kids thinking about wheels again. Nice work, Fireball. Keep 'em coming.

    Fireball Tim rocks the block! My sleepy street has an abundance of kids playing, riding their bikes, drawing crazy chalk scribbles on the blacktop. For fun, I bought a copy of Fireball Tim's Big Book of Wacky Rides! and plopped it down in front of two boys. You would have thought I had gained entry into a secret world. They are tearing this book up! Who would have thought the two words, Grab and Share could go together. The imaginative layout and Krazy Kar world nails it for these Kool Kids. The colored chalk markings in the street now include their own collection of wacky stuff. They love the book. Now I rock, too!

    This book is great and it is wonderful to see a book that is about cars. There really isn't that much out there about them. I am a former preschool teacher and this book is terrific for that age group. It helps children to use their imagination and that is so important for them to know how to use that part of their brain. This book is a great addition to any children library.

    I've been a car guy since I was 14 and I loved the book. I'm 50 now. The artwork is terrific, as are the names of the rather inventive cars. Since the author asks a question about each car, it gets the creative juices flowing. My favorite is the Redwoody! And that may be my favorite tree. If you read to your young kids and they are into cars, they will love this book.

    Fireball Tim is an amazing concept artist. This book is the best present you could give to a young child which is interested in cars and motorbikes. It deals with loads of fun and the images are great. The quality of the book is nice and printed in good quality. The images are big enough for every child but also for every adult who likes cute and funny things!
