THE GHOST OF PAUL REVERE - Sundays at the Meeting House
"Robustly played, masterful amalgamation of bluegrass, folk, and gospel for the Millennial Generation... The Ghost of Paul Revere prove that superior roots music can come from anywhere." - No Depression
From the banks of the Saco River in deepest Maine comes the Ghost of Paul Revere. Max Davis, Sean McCarthy and Griffin Sherry have been playing together since childhood. They put the Ghost of Paul Revere together in 2011 with Matt Young, and since then have been wowing audiences with three-part harmonies, energetic performances and a decidedly untraditional take on traditional American music.
The Ghost of Paul Revere has sold out Port City Music Hall, Stone Mountain Arts Center, and the Strand Theater in Maine multiple times, won the 2014 New England Music Awards, and were an official showcase artist at Folk Alliance International 2015. The band made their Newport Folk Festival debut in August 2015 and capped off the year with an electrifying headline performance on New Year's eve at Portland's State Theatre in front of 1,600 enraptured fans. On July 4th, they opened for The Avett Brothers at Thompson's Point in Portland, ME
On Sunday, September 25, The Ghost take to the legendary Rockingham Meeting House, built in 1801 and the earliest unaltered public building in Vermont! There's no electricity inside - a show there is like listening from within a fine acoustic guitar.
Just minutes off Interstate 91 at Exit 6, the Rockingham Meeting House is an incredible place to see a show, and on the afternoon of September 25, it's the place to be to see ghosts - The Ghost of Paul Revere.
This show is presented by Karin Mallory in association with Flying Under Radar, LLC. Partial proceeds benefit the Rockingham Meeting House Association.
General admission tickets ($20) and Best-In-House tickets ($35) are also available directly from Karin.
