Carved Maple top, Mahogany back. Includes hardshell case.

Guitar legend Les Paul and Gibson teamed up in 1952 to produce the guitar that set the standard for solidbody electrics. In the 1990's Gibson and Les Paul still enjoy the most successful endorsement agreement in the history of the guitar, and the Les Paul Standard is still the Industry Standard.

About the Les Paul Series
No matter where Gibson Les Paul is seen - in the hands of a star performer, silhouetted in a guitar dealer's ad, or cast in brass and incorporated into the architecture of a restaurant - it is universally recognized as the symbol of rock and roll music. From the basic no-frills guitars to elegant showpieces, the guitars of Les Paul are the standard-bearers of Gibson's excellence.

i think this guitar is very good. I have no complaints and completely satisfied this guitar is my sound, make sure that it is yours too before you buy it.
Sound
This is a very powerful guitar, little amps cant handle it, its very hot. The sustain is very lonnnnngggg, and its great for solos. The sound is very rich and deep. Sometimes i play acoustically just to hear the guitar by itself.
Features
it looks great, the neck is great, and the action is superb.
Quality
This thing is a tank it will never die. Im a clumsy fool, ive dropped it a lot and my strap collapses the instrument is still fine. I had a mexican strat for 2 years and i had to re-saulder some of the connections myself, i dont think ill ever have to do anything to this guitar
Value
They are expensive but ive never hear the gibson sound reproduced. Its a one of a kind sound.
The Wow Factor
looks beautiful, ill never have to replace this guitar
