Description

The Giger room at S. V. Mitchell's Gallery and exhibition of recent work (see tinyurl.com/sacred661 Will open in a new tab or window).
This is the largest ever collection of H. R. Giger's work in the U.K.

I have never shot a pano in such difficult lighting conditions, and with a camera whose longest shutter speed is 1/4 second the results are not all I had hoped for. Still, what you see here is done with the gp stitcher and hence the unwanted dark banding. For a better version taken at F8 with a 2 sec exposure, see www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=13771.

Thanks again. Herr Giger apparently prefers this version because although the lighting is superior in the other version it is incomplete. It's quite to clear to me now that there are two courses of action available to me: (1) commit seppuku, (2) wrap myself in a buffalo hide, sit under a waterfall meditating for two weeks to achieve buddha-nature, then return to the gallery and try again.

Kind comments all - thank you. But if you look at the new version (see updated comments above) I think you will see the difference between what I achieved here and what I had hoped to produce.

Despite your technical challenges you have managed to produce something lucid and quite beautiful here

Wonderful examples of H R G art in a great space. Really works despite the misgivings Kilgore661.
