PookieNumnums
Glyphs: https://youtu.be/aoXRmj7_NaI?t=34m59s As they stand theyre just a fun way to decorate the environs with our holograffiti. What if they could be used for things? Glyph Sabotage : Sabotage a enemy point of interest (via bombs, or reactor destruction, or fuel cells w/e), and blame the crime on an opposing faction or syndicate to start some drama! Mole Messages : Theres an mole implanted in an enemy faction and he has a message you need to retrieve. The mole will spray a glyph into a designated location (point B) once you give them the signal (spray a glyph in point A). Wait for the target to leave the area, scan his glyph to obtain the message, and then spray your own glyph in its place to destroy the evidence. Theft : Theres a supply cache that may contain some important object located in a maximum security vault protected by an enemy faction somewhere. Your job is to locate the appropriate enemy with clearance to enter the vault, steal his glyph, then spray the glyph on the vaults security panel to gain access. Traps and surprises would await in the vault, but if successful rewards should be adequate.
Gruwen
Very, very intuitive. Even though the glyphs are very cute and cool, I'll use them once to look at them and never use them again, why would I stop to spray a glyph, when I have spy consoles to hack and grineer to exterminate? Rehtael7
I think the point of glyphs is that they're a purely cosmetic thing. If there were a syndicate job that involved them, it would make sense, but it would have to use one that the player does NOT have equipped, thus kind of defeating the point of it, except to show off the fact that glyphs exist. But then you're forced to use the one you NEED, not the one you want.
Virotoxic
maybe the functional glyphs could be made into a separate gear item.

Yeah. Thats correct. To play THOSE missions you need THE GLYPH the mission requires. Thats how it works, exactly. You perfectly understand the whole point. You get to use w/e you want when not playing those missions, and since they wont be the only missions in game you will have plenty of time to use w/e glyphs you want in all the other missions in game. OH And if you would refer back to the devstream (clip timestamp'd link in op), and if my memory serves me correctly, we will be able to change them at will in game from the avatar menu or w/e. So even when playing these missions youll be able to use w/e other glyphs you want before and after the objective requires you to use a specific one! YAY! We need this in-game. It would be fun addition (at least to me) Spoiler I already see myself blowing up something in property of Red Veil and painting Arbiters of Hexis' symbol next to blown up thing. Ooh, it would be so pleasing to watch Edited August 17, 2016 by Anavi_Ivy
