About the author

Susanna is a storyteller and loves making people laugh. Laughing is her favorite. She graduated from Bethany University with a BA in Social Science emphasizing psychology and early childhood education. She and her hilarious husband, Scott, (he paid her to say that) have three giant teenage boys. They are the joy of her life (when they are not trying to scare or tickle her.) After the birth of their first son, Susanna decided to stay home as a full-time mom and follow her passion of writing. She loves connecting with her readers and hearing the stories of how Jesus has turned their lives inside out for the better. For fun, she likes to eat chocolate, read lots of fiction and drink coffee with her girlfriends.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020Susanna is very insightful to the emotions Christian women experience, especially to those with a family. She is funny, but still maintains a respect for the subject matter. She is very pointed and does not dance around the truth. I believe God has gifted her with an ability to relate directly to the subjects she has written about. She addresses many of the unsecured that many Christian women face every day. Very encouraging! I would share this book with anyone.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2010This is the second book I have read by Susanna Foth Aughtman and I have been completely blown away by BOTH! Her books are honest, funny, and insightful. She is a true woman of God and has a passion to speak about her faith and how challenging it can be to try to do it all. Fantastic book for a small group to work through together, topics are very relevant and thought provoking. After reading both books I felt motivated to acheive my inner Tired Supergirl!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2014This book was chosen by my church book club. I could see myself in the pages as well as my friends. Peppered with many stories and thoughts that I have myself, very honest and thought provoking. My book club meets this week and I can hardly wait for the discussion. I will highly recommend this book to my old bible study group and my best friend.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2013The title sounded very down to earth--it was! It gave some practical insights into how real women feel about certain situations, and good direction on what to about them. The author is still working through some of her ongoing life situations with her family, friends, and people of her pastor husband's church. Her sense of humor, and use of words to describe her dilemmas, give you frequent chuckles as you read.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2013Used this for our Bible Study calss. Great book for all ages. Ejoyed her in your face stories with a humorous twist, but real life lessons. Lessons are introspective, easy to lead and well worth the small amount of effort to present.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2012Very down-to-earth and real. I will probably reread it. Just enough funny parts to make you feel that you can identify. Very solid biblical encouragement for women who want to do it all.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2013This book takes a fresh and humorous look at the things women struggle with everyday and the lies we tell ourselves like God has better things to do than listen to us whine. It's a must read for any woman that thinks she is not enough.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2010Chose this book for a summer ladies book study. It's been perfect. Love the authors humor as well as the wisdom in the truths she presents. Good to compare the lies to the truth.
