![What is Goodspero]()
We're a startup crowdfunding production house supporting global access to education. We work with people and organizations who believe that every child should have access to an education. Together, we can all help support youth in underresourced areas of the world by recycling books to youth without access to them and helping provide educational opportunities. On our list?---Remote areas, rural villages, orphanages, slums, disaster areas and areas of gender inequality where opportunities for girls to be educated are given only second to boys, if at all.

![Who-Are-We-Goodspero-Founders]()
We're the co-founders of Goodspero and our team of passionate friends who support this cause is growing! As co-founders, (Jessica Bolaños and Nelson Vanegas), we're an unlikely couple who came together about 6 years ago (2007) because of our shared passion for learning and creating awareness of global issues and the social causes dedicated to solving those issues.
Our families moved to the US from Latin America (Colombia & El Salvador). We're grateful to be the first generation of children in our immediate families to receive as amazing an education as we have been able to get here in the US. We feel blessed to have a life full of limitless opportunities and resources here. That's why we've decided to dedicate our lives to use those opportunities and resources to help youth who remain living in under-resourced areas around the world.
![Goodspero Image: founders-bolanos-vanegas]()
We now have over 10 years of multi-media marketing experience in radio, TV, social media, event marketing and production. We've worked extensively alongside various national organizations throughout the US (and still do). Now, we've decided to focus our efforts on supporting a cause we can ALL benefit from--the education of upcoming generations.
All around the world there are bright minds eager and willing to learn and make our world a better place. Where we're born shouldn't be the deciding factor on whether or not we'll have an opportunity to be educated in one way or another or pursue our dreams. We've seen and experienced the power of one book changing a life....and how one life can change the world. Directly or indirectly, we're ALL effected by the prosperity of our neighbors. Help us help others! It's a hand up, not a hand out we're offering through Education.
![Clinton Global Initiative University 2013 CGI U - Goodspero - The Good Crowdfund]()
Our team is grateful to have been selected as an exhibitor at the 2013 Clinton Global Initiative University Conference, that brought together over 1,200 leaders from colleges around the world to make a difference in the world. Here we made a commitment to crowdfund $4 million for global access to education by 2015 and launch an organization (this one) to support literacy and education. We've since been equipped with CGI U mentors from around the nation who are leaders in the field of social business and social entrepreneurship in various areas including education, poverty alleviation, empowering girls and so much more! This campaign is the first crowdfund towards our commitment goal. :)

We also have a small army of mentors, supporters, friends, family and other do-gooders like you willing to help in any way possible.
The Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Houston's Bauer School of Business is where this idea was born and we owe SO much to all the faculty, students and mentors who helped us during the conception phase of Goodspero. We are eternally grateful and thankfully, forever bound to our WCE family and network of amazing supporters. The WCE even flew us to visit Warren Buffett in Omaha, where he gave us advice on our quest to solve this global issue of poverty and education and a good luck bidding as we said goodbye after lunch (below).

Some of our supporters and friends contribute funds, others contribute time or talents and others simply share our campaign efforts with their social networks and friends who then end up pitching in or sharing our campaign with their friends...who end up donating a dollar or two, in some cases several hundred!
Everything helps! $1, or 1-click to share this on Facebook, 1 re-tweet on Twitter, 1 Instagram pic of support, 1 blog post about our campaign---ALL OF THESE THINGS HELP TREMENDOUSLY!! :)
![What Now - What Are We Doing - Goodspero - Indiegogo]()
We want to make this THE BIGGEST CROWDFUND FOR EDUCATION EVER!!! A successful one at that. :) We can surely rally together to help these under-resourced young leaders around the world have access to education and books! This is an incredible opportunity to pitch in together to change the world WITH these kids---but only if we help get them the tools and support they need to pursue their dreams as we continue to pursue our own. We can all help, even if it's just $1. That will do more than you can imagine if we just pool our resources together.

The final production of the documentary film we've been working on for the last year and a half will help create awareness of the need for access to educational resources around the world. We've already invested a good amount of time and funds in production equipment and flights to go deliver books to youth and capture some final footage in El Salvador when we take more books to youth there later this year.
We already have footage from the US, Colombia and Africa to include in this documentary. Including interviews and footage of youth, educators, NPOs, book recyclers, business leaders, life in the "developing world" as well as life in the "developed world" and the many amazing people who have crossed our path along our social startup adventures. We just need that last final push of support to finalize production!
DID WE MENTION THIS FILM WILL BE POSTED ONLINE FOR FREE?
We believe in open-source content and FREE ACCESS TO EDUCATION. Everyone needs to know about this issue and we're committed to making sure we spread the word far and wide! This is vital in the pursuit of empowering our communities and cooperating together to help others and each other.
We're also working on the digital publication of a pictorial scrap-ebook, put together with all the amazing photos and memorabelia we've been collecting along our journey through the developing world and the world of philanthropists, humanitarians, and every day joe's like you and me doing what we can to give others a hand. *This includes footage of all of our documentary film/photo chronicles, art, and misc. content you're surely to appreciate and love. *If we reach our $200,000 goal, we'll gladly send all of our campaign contributors a copy of this scrap-ebook before we publish it to the rest of the world as a huge thank you! :)

We wouldn't be where we are today (you, me, all of us)...if someone hadn't taught us along the way. With education, whether from a teacher or a book, we've been able to solve some of the world's biggest challenges. If we help equip youth with books and educational resources, we are not only uplifting their communities, but our own.
We're all affected by the successes and failures of our neighbors, directly or indirectly. Lets make a drastic improvement and change in our world by giving ALL of our youth access to learn something new.
Just 1 book can change a life.
