Welcome to this study!
The aim of this study is to document the experiences, attitudes and habits of people with trichotillomania in regards to hair care and haircutting. We are looking specifically for people whose behavior includes their head and who are over 18 years old. All hair-related questions are referring to the head hair.
We hope that, based on the results, we will first gain a better understanding of your personal and professional hair care needs and then be able to develop hair care interventions that can support people in coping with their hair pulling behavior.
The first questionnaire, the MGH Hair Pulling Scale as well as the third, the BiTS and the fourth, the MIST-A, are about your personal expression of trichotillomania. The second questionnaire, the HCI-T intends to record your significance and experience of hair care. Two short questionnaires address the theme of disgust and round off this study.
We are aware that dealing with your trichotillomania by participating in this study can trigger feelings, sensations and possibly even the symptomatic behavior itself. Of course you can interrupt this study any time and continue later.
Thank you for your interest, time and willingness.
