Jon Hoadley for State Representative Internship Application


The Jon Hoadley for State Representative campaign is seeking interns to help with our historic campaign.  Interns will have a key role in pushing the campaign forward.  Below are job descriptions for each type of internship.  Please make sure you select the correct internship type below.  All interns are expected to be with the campaign immediately until November 4th, 2014.

FIELD INTERN
The field intern will have the following responsibilities.
- Assisting with all direct voter contact, including but not limited to pledge cards, door knocking, and phone banking
- Data entry relevant to direct voter contact
- Volunteer recruitment for direct voter contact actions

SPECIAL EVENTS & FUNDRAISING INTERN
- Assist in event preparation and management
- Assist with data entry
- Manage thank you letters for contributions
- Help manage fundraising mailings
- Any other fundraising & special event tasks as necessary
- Staffing campaign events and activities
- Providing support to campaign events (do advance work, map out event logistics, arrange for event set up and breakdown, etc)

COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
The new media intern will have the following responsibilities.
- Assisting the Communications team
- Writing blog posts, Facebook posts, and tweets
- Shooting video and taking photos for online content
- Managing and updating the website as needed
- Basic design skills on PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator

All interns may have the following tasks:
- Staffing campaign events and activities
- Providing support to campaign events
- Help maintain a fully functioning office
- Support field activities, including running phone banks, training volunteers on voter contact and data entry, making canvass packets
