    Please read this page carefully, as it shares exactly what to expect as you apply to give youths a fighting chance :)

    If you're looking to volunteer in a youth-facing role, here's what you can expect in terms of timeline for this current run of volunteer recruitment:

    However, we are still accepting sign-ups for non youth-facing roles. 

     

    Our recruitment for youth-facing roles will re-open in September 2025, which is when we will be resuming interviews! 

    In the meantime, you're welcome to submit an application for our volunteer roles still, and we will reach back out to you once we re-start interviews.

  • Potential Roles

    Based on your interest and availability, we will want to consider you for the following roles! You can click on the role titles to see the full role description in a new tab. Please review the roles carefully :-)
  • Graphic Design Volunteer (Whole-of-Impart)*

    Create collateral for Impart's different programmes, to ensure that potential youths hear about us and are able to get the support that they deserve!

    • Ad-hoc support
    • Fully online

  • Volunteer Welfare Events Member (Whole-of-Impart)

    Plan small-group activities with volunteers to enhance the well-being and engagement of fellow volunteers

    • Within a 3-month window, plan and bring groups of 3-8 volunteers out for an optional activity or meal
    • Each events member is assigned 2-3 groups
  • Youth Advocate (Education)

    Create a safe, nurturing environment for youths while providing academic support, leading up to their national exams

    • Provide academic support to youths in 1.5-2 hour sessions for minimally 12 weeks; preferrable if you are able to stay until end of youths' academic year
    • Can be allocated to Pals (1:1 tutoring) or Huddles (group study sessions comprising of 2-3 volunteers to 5-7 youths)
    • Allocation depends on location and needs of the youth within that region
  • Labs Youth Advocate (Education)*

    Support experienced tutors by engaging youths during classroom-style lessons that ready them for their national exams

    • 4 hour classroom-style sessions per week, for minimally 10 weeks
    • Support the lead tutor in engaging youth participants and in carrying out operational tasks

  • Guides Befrienders (Community)

    Ensure youths have continued access to Impart's resources by accompanying them to and from programmes.

    • Minimally, accompany youths to 2 sessions per month, for about 2 hours per session
    • Allocation depends on availability
  • Guides Programme Manager (Community)

    Be the bridge that connects youths to their Guide Befrienders, so they continue having access to support and resources.

    • 3-4 hours per week to coordinate Guide Befrienders and youth pairings
    • Fully remote / online role
  • Triage Team Member (Mental Health Care)

    Serve as first point of contact for referrers to assess the youths' needs and evaluate the suitability of Impart's programmes for the youth.

    • 1-2 hours/week, with potential to be higher during peak periods
    • Remote / online role
  • (Assistant) Programme Lead (Community)

    Build a safe and empowering space for youths to build skills and confidence while they pursue a shared interest, participate in group therapy, and explore their strengths and goals for the future.

    • 3-4 hours per week, for about 12 weeks
    • Allocation depends on availability
  • Be The LIGHT Youth Advocate (Mental Health Care)

    Support youths who recently experienced a crisis event with KKH's Be The LIGHT framework.

    • Weekly 1 hour session with child or youth, and additional 1 hour of administrative work (session plans and updates)
    • Compulsory monthly group supervision
    • Minimum 1 year* commitment as a volunteer and includes a $200 deposit which will be returned upon completion of minimum volunteering commitment.

    *-1 year does not include training period; more information regarding this 1 year commitment and deposit will be shared later in this form.

  • COPE Youth Advocate (Mental Health Care)

    Journey with youths to equip them coping strategies from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy across a period of 6 months

    • Weekly 1 hour session with child or youth, and additional 1 hour of administrative work (session plans and updates)
    • Compulsory monthly group supervision
    • Minimum 1 year* commitment as a volunteer and includes a $200 deposit which will be returned upon completion of minimum volunteering commitment.

    *-1 year does not include training period; more information regarding this 1 year commitment and deposit will be shared later in this form.

  • IMNA Youth Advocate (Mental Health Care)

    Be the first responders to youths facing adversity, supporting them to build motivation for lasting change and connecting them with the most appropriate resources.

    • Weekly 1 hour session with child or youth, and additional 1 hour of administrative work (session plans and updates)
    • Compulsory monthly group supervision
    • Minimum 1 year* commitment as a volunteer and includes a $200 deposit which will be returned upon completion of minimum volunteering commitment.

    *-1 year does not include training period; more information regarding this 1 year commitment and deposit will be shared later in this form.

  • Clinical Care Youth Advocate (Mental Health Care)*

    As a mental health care professional, journey with youths to deliver therapeutic and counselling services across a period of 6 months

    • Weekly 1 hour session with child or youth, and additional 1 hour of administrative work (session plans and updates)
    • Compulsory supervision
    • Minimally, must be a postgraduate student in counselling, psychology, or a related field

  • Programme Facilitator (Community)

    Through facilitating group therapeutic interventions, create a safe space for youths to envision their future alongside peers who share their passion.

    • Facilitate group therapy within Community's programmes for 3-4 hours per week, for across 12 weeks
    • Allocation depends on availability
    • Attend supervisions as required
    • Minimally, must be a postgraduate student in counselling, psychology, or a related field

  • Volunteer Training Availability

    As you've chosen a youth-facing role, you will be required to attend our volunteer training! Let us know your training availability for the upcoming training dates. If your availability changes down the line, just let us know as soon as you can.

    Before proceeding, please note:

    We have a requirement for all youth-facing volunteers to complete minimally 2 full days of training to ensure that all our youths receive a standard, high quality of care from every volunteer at Impart!

    Since you're not able to make it for minimally 2 out of the 3 training days, we may not be able to have you join us for this round of volunteer intake. :-(

    We recommend you try to shift things around so that you're able to make at least 2 days of training, and then go back 1 page and amend your availability accordingly.
    However, you can still proceed to the next part of this application, as we will still reach out to you regardless!

  • Impart Education

    Impart Education

    Based on the previous questions, you might be a good fit for roles in our Education arm! We'd love to understand more about your relevant background :)
  • Subject Competency

    As most of the youths referred to us are in the Normal Academic stream, we will be using your confidence levels for NA subjects to get a general sense of what subjects you are comfortable teaching.
  • Impart Community

    Impart Community

    Based on the previous questions, you might be a good fit for roles in our Community arm! We'd love to know a bit more about you :)
  • Community | Availability & Interests

    We have community programmes running all across Singapore, on a variety of days. When assigning you to your programme, we'll be prioritizing your available days and locations, first. If we're able to, we'd love to also assign you to a programme that you're already interested in!
  • Impart Mental Health Care

    Impart Mental Health Care

    Based on the previous questions, you might be a good fit for roles in our Mental Health Care arm! Do take note that some roles come with further training and thus may require a deposit. Please read the following part carefully.
