Farm2Power (F2P) is a collective that utilizes mutual aid to support existing community farm shares, a food system that emphasizes a direct farm to consumer based relationship. We work to use our mutual aid fund to uplift BIPOC farmers by purchasing their agricultural products, provide free and fresh food to the community, and to redistribute resources. In doing so, we aim to support the farms that are most heavily disregarded and undervalued by big corporations under capitalism in order to help alleviate the food waste crisis and to feed our fellow Angelinos.

We are looking to bring on more core Team Members to aide in our efforts.

Joining as a Team Member involves: attending our one hour weekly meeting, serving as another essential voice and mind in the F2P collective, helping to decide future plans for our organization, planning pantries and events, organizing volunteers for disseminating produce boxes, and brainstorming new ways to advance our mutual aid efforts.

Important Note!

We are currently looking for community organizers who have the time and ability to dedicate to sustaining the Farm2Power collective. We are not a non-profit and are not able to financially compensate team members for their work.

Core Team Member: I want to regularly attend general body meetings, and take initiative on tasks. Open to all, but preference given to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, TGNC community members. Highest commitment level (1-4 hours a week).

General Team Member: I want to attend some general body meetings, help on some projects of interest as I am able to, and receive updates about current F2P happenings. Open to all, but preference given to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, TGNC community members. A lower commitment level (A few hours a month).

Pantry Volunteer: I would primarily like to volunteer on the days of pantries. Open to All. Lowest commitment level (1 Sunday a month).
