Friends, family, countrymen...lend us your dollars to help kids in the name of Mustaches! (And when I say "lend," I mean donate!) The more money you donate, the bigger the 'stache that my wife will have to put up with!
  And now, a mustache limerick:
In life there is no greater joy
For a man or a pubescent boy
Than to raise tons of cash
With a dazzling mustache
And pass for a Burt Reynolds decoy
  • The Science of Learning

    Funded Feb 11, 2009

Thank you so much for your generosity. We are so thankful for the materials that your donation helped to provide our classroom. The science kits that you helped fund, will be hours of learning and fun for students each year. Since we are a school of high poverty, we often have to spend most of our time learning the basics. Our students come to us so far behind that we spend most of our day focusing on math, reading and writing. With your help, we will be able to integrate those subjects with science. Not only will our students be enriched, but these kits may spark a love for science.

Thank you again for donating to Donorschoose.org and to our classroom. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. I.

  • In Tune With Standards

    Funded Dec 1, 2008

I wanted to personally thank you for contributing to our band's project, "In Tune With Standards." Because of your generosity, we will begin reaching a higher level of musicianship in the classroom. With the tuners and metronomes you are helping us acquire, we will begin playing more independently - one of our National Standards for Music Education. As a teacher, I feel absolutely blessed by your giving spirit. I can't wait to begin using our new supplies in the classroom. Again, we are in your debt. Thank you so much for your commitment to the education of our students”

This is so wonderful! I appreciate your heart for children and their learning process. In a world where our current economic situation is unstable, it means even more to us. Lots of children, living in poverty, will benefit from your generosity. We look very forward to using the supplies!!

    THANK YOU AGAIN!”

  • Literature Alive!

    Funded Mar 4, 2009

It seems like such a small thing to say thank you for the enormous gift of generosity that you have given to my classroom. Everyday my students are thrilled to use our new puppets and story telling props. It brings my heart joy to see their elation when retelling familiar stories using your donations.

Soon you will be receiving thank you pictures from my students, but they can't even begin to show you the pure joy on their faces. I hope that the pictures can give you a glimpse of several of the moments they have experienced so far using your donations. I'm sure there will be thousands more of these moments to come in the future as well.

While teaching in the inner city I have discovered many things. One is that my students get excited by the smallest things. When I unpacked the new puppets and story telling props, there was thunderous applause and chatter about our "new things". They really love your donations and take such good care of them. We are so thankful to you. Had you been here when we opened our new supplies, you would have been hugged by 19 of the most grateful children.

It is because of you that my students can feel more at home during our school day. They take true pride in these amazing gifts. My current class thanks you, as well my future classes who will also utilize all of these gifts over the years. These gifts bring such happiness to all of our hearts. ”

  • Video Camera Needed To Capture Real-World Physics

    Funded Dec 17, 2008

Thanks so much for funding this camera that can capture video and still images. The students and I have been looking forward to being able to study some real-world physics problems and your gift will make that possible.

And, while waiting for the funding, we have thought of some other uses (in addition to the video recording features) that we are excited about trying out. For example, one student wants to use it to take photographs of example problems that I solve on the whiteboard and make those accessible to the class.

Again, thank you so much. We deeply appreciate your willingness to support and equip our students”

  • Binders for At-Risk Students

    Funded Dec 15, 2008

Thank you so much! My students will definitely use the supplies. Just the other day they were asking me if I could give them binders or folders. They wanted school supplies for a Christmas gift, and it made me sad that I couldn't provide for them. Now I can, thanks to you. What a wonderful Christmas gift!

    Thank you”

Thank you so much for your generous gift. The students can hardly wait to play with the equipment and games that you have provided for them. It is heart warming to know that there are people like you who care for our students and are willing to help provide the things they need to succeed.

  • Where Oh Where Have Our Big Books Gone?

    Funded Dec 19, 2008

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amazing gift of our big book case. It was the best holiday gift we could have received. The students and I just had a discussion about caring for our big books because they are just propped against a book case and tend to fall down. Now that the big books will have a good home students will be able to browse them at their leisure and not worry about causing an avalanche. This gift will provide so much joy to my classroom for years to come. You are truly amazing for taking the time to fund our proposal. Please have a happy and safe holiday season.

    My best,

    Mrs. ”

  • Name That Place In Math

    Funded Nov 28, 2008

Thank you so much for funding my students' math proposal! How exciting it will be for the students to come back to school after winter break to find new math materials to work with! They have been working hard with money this year and the new math materials will help teach and reinforce the students' place value skills. The students will also be busy preparing for Indiana's standardized testing and the math cards will help them with basic skills that they will have to demonstrate. Thank you again and have safe and happy holidays”
