About

I am a professor of Spanish at Yavapai College, in Prescott Arizona. I teach lower division Spanish classes in the Fall, Spring and Summer terms.

My research interests center around the use of technology in FL classrooms, Spanish mood choice, digital gaming and language learning, applying game mechanics to learning management systems to increase motivation, instructional design as applied to language learning, cognitive load theory and FL assessment. Additionally, I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Instructional Design from Old Dominion University.

I have a wife and three . . . ambitious (we'll go with that), children. We've resided in Prescott Valley since the Winter of 2008.
