  • The Worst Bear - 10 years ago

My top three monsters would be Baragon (Millennium), Godzilla (2001), and Zilla. I would like to see these figures priced at under $100, but would pay up to that for any and all of them. I feel that none of those creatures really got good figurines outside of garage kit style statues. Would be nice to see them given the articulation they deserve!

  • gojiryu - 10 years ago

for this year, SH Monsterarts should release the original Godzilla (1954) and the one from 2004 though it's gonna have to do the one from the upcoming movie Godzilla 2014

  • Terry - 10 years ago

I voted for ten but my top three are Godzilla 2001 Godzilla 1989 and Titanosaurus. I would like for Godzilla 2001 to be larger than previous Godzillas. And I would pay between $80 to $90 for 2001. And $70 to $80 for 1989. And for Titanosaurus I would pay $75 to $85. I would love to see Godzilla 2002 on this poll and Godzilla 1962.

  • Graham Gray - 10 years ago

Anguirus, Varan and Baragon! Would love to see some quadrupeds done in this line. Millennium or Showa versions.

  • Stephen Walker-Emflorgo - 10 years ago

Out of all of the Kaiju list All I would like from the poll to be realised as a figure would be Zilla. If done, could possibly do a version with green fire from the 2000 animated "Godzilla: The Series" possibly leading to Cyber-Zilla.

  • Matt - 10 years ago

Any Showa era releases are going to be automatic purchases for me, regardless of cost. I'd mostly love to see some love for the little, often overlooked kaiju- Varan, Baragon, Gorosaurus, even Manda.

  • Robby Rotella - 10 years ago

My top 3 would be Jet Jaguar, Varan and Gorosaurus. A pose-able JJ would be something that every kaiju fan would need! And there arn't enough Gorosaurus and Varan figures at all, I think it would be great if you guys were able to do these three and show them some love!

  • godzilla fan - 10 years ago

My top 3 are Godzilla 1984 and Godzilla 2001 and Super Godzilla.

  • KingCeasarGuy - 10 years ago

    Top 3:
    1.) Godzilla '89-'91 - $60-$80
    2.) Hedorah (showa) - $70-$80
    3.) Bagan & Super Godzilla - $80-$130

The price ranges I guessed on, mainly thinking about scale of the figures. Age demographic I fall into are 20's-30's. I would love to see these creatures made to figures because Godzilla '89-'91 would complete Biollante and it's mine (and many more) favorite Godzilla look. Hedorah I added because I think it was one of the most unique and powerful enemies in the Godzilla franchise. Then I chose Bagan and Super Godzilla together because I was a big fan of the video game when I was a kid. I think those two creatures would be fantastically different to add in the Monsterarts line-up!

  • GodzillaKing - 10 years ago

Gojira 1954 - 60th anniversary coming up, needs to happen.
    Titanosaurus - Favorite Showa monster.
Mecha-King Ghidorah - Release this and they wont need to make anymore Heisei monsters for awhile.
Zilla - The guy needs some love.
Godzilla 2000 Film version - I like the concept version but I wold like to see an film version.
Monster X and Keizer Ghidorah - As one of the few newer monsters of the series I feel they should be put in.
King Caesar Showa - Favorite version of him.
Bagan - I wold love to see him get put into the line.
Final Wars Manda - Same reason as King Caesar.

  • Baganisboss - 10 years ago

3 choices, Bagan, super godzilla and Godzilla 54. It would be great to see these nostalgic beasts in figure form since they've bden apart of my childhood and i'm pretty sure a bunch of others too. And since no merchandise of Bagan and super Godzilla is nowhere to be found except the super g game, you guys would be the first to make a Bagan figure and ssuper Godzilla. My age is between 20-30. And the prices I would pay for goji 54 74.99, 84.99 for super godzilla and 150.00 for Bagan. If I have to pay more then so be it.

  • Space Ghost - 10 years ago

Bagan and Super Godzilla will be a seller. There legends at this point! I feel like paying anywhere from 100 - 200 sounds fair. Also a Good Biollante (Rose form) would be nice considering theirs not much out there. Age group 20-29.

  • Dave A - 10 years ago

Honestly, I know there are a LOT of different suits and incarnations of Godzilla but Bandai needs to take it easy on figures of him for a bit. Godzilla has 5 Monsterarts figures already and yet monsters like Megalon, Anguras, Orga, and King Caesar still don't even have one. I'd much prefer to see variety prioritized over multiple iterations of the same monster. Different versions are fine and all but I'd just rather see different characters first before retreading territory. The only exceptions I'd really make for that would be 2014 Godzilla or Zilla. Really though, I just REALLY REALLY want King Caesar (Showa) , Orga, and Megalon more than anybody else. They're three of my favorites, King Caesar especially.

  • Mister X - 10 years ago

Showa all the way, all day, every day. I want four more than anything - Titanosaurus, Gorosaurus, Baragon, and Jet Jaguar. Titanosaurus and Jet Jaguar seem pretty popular and seem like pretty smart choices. Gorosaurus and Baragon are my "don't really think they'll ever happen but I'll absolutely flip out if they do and probably die from the overwhelming joy" choices. ;)

  • Stefan - 10 years ago

    1) Godzilla 1989- bad ass design, would go great with Biollante, 70$ fair price with breath effect updated
    2) Godzilla 1985- scary design, classic, different from 90's era but not as lame looking as 60's godzilla, 60$
    3) Original 1954 Gojira -classic, maybe with train? 60$

    Honorable mentions:
    4) Orga-50$, great to go with 2000 Goji
    5) Godzilla 2001 -cool different design
    6) Final Wars Godzilla 2004- cool design
7)Mecha Ghidorah -classic and chance to fix problems with first Ghidorah release
    8) Super Godzilla awesome design
    9) Zilla -not THAT bad, still worth having over other characters

  • Dupre - 10 years ago

We need another Effects pack with Super X3 and Super X1. Top picks were Titanosaurus, Megalon, and showa Kamacurus. these are my favorites from when I was a kid. $60-$100 is fair I think. Age group I fall in is 40-50's. SUPER X3 and SUPER X Weapon Pack is needed also a web exclusive flying Space godzilla sounds good to me.

  • John D - 10 years ago

To accommodate this poll's new suggestions. Here is my additional info:

--The Top 3 Monsters in which I voted for are Bagan. Monster X, and Jet-Jaguar.
------I choose Bagan (as well as Super Godzilla, but mostly Bagan in thi case) because he/they are the only monsters in the Godzilla franchise to not have any figures from any company created of them. Additionally, I am a fan of the Darkhorse following that Bagan has generated over the years.
------I choose Monster X because there are no figures in him that are in scale with a 6" line of figures.
------I choose Jet-Jaguar because I am a fan of the film, "Godzilla vs. Megalon", and I would like to see a Super Articulated figure of the Robot.

--I am in my early 20s.

--I do not mind it's current fluctuating price range as long as it does NOT exceed $90 to $100

--As for any additional information, I would LOVE to see an SHMA of the 70s Godzilla (1973-1975)

  • Dogora - 10 years ago

My age is in the 30's range. My top 3 picks would be: Godzilla 1954. (Because it's the 60th anniversary of Godzilla, and he's the one who started it all. He's the O.G.) I'd pay the same amount as the other Godzilla figures.

Super Godzilla. (Because he's awesome and no figure has ever been made of him. Also, it's the 20th anniversary of the game; Super Godzilla!) I'd be willing to pay a little more for him than what the other Godzilla forms cost, if necessary.

Bagan. *Any of his final form designs would be fine. I'd even go for a mixed design. (Because he's Godzilla's ultimate foe! Godzilla needed to go Super in order to defeat him. And just like Super G, he never had a figure.) I'd expect to pay around Destoroyah's price range. I'm thinking most likely it would be a little more than that though, but I'd still buy him.

  • Kyotita - 10 years ago

I really hope we get to see Bagan some day! I would definitely be willing to spend the money to purchase that!

  • D Durbin - 10 years ago

The monsters I would really like to see get made are Mechagodzilla 1975, Mecha-King Ghidorah, and Bagan. Mechagodzilla 1975 would be a hot seller since MECHA units are hot sellers in both Japan and the USA. Finishing off the Heisei era would be nice with Mecha-King Ghidorah. Please have die-cast parts for MECHA units! Bagan because there is no merchandise available anywhere of the creature other than the SNES game, SUPER GODZILLA. I fall into the 20-30's age demographic and my favorite series was the Heisei.

  • Alec Delehanty - 10 years ago

I voted for Godzilla 1954, Godzilla 2004 and Mothra 2004 as my top 3 monsters because they are my favorites. I hope they come with an effect part like Atomic Breath for Godzilla. Godzilla and Mothra are always my favorites because my first movie was Mothra vs. Godzilla (the original, 1964). I also voted for Anguirus (showa), Minilla (showa), Rodan (millennium), Monster X, Keizer Ghidorah, Megalon, and Godzilla 2001. I just hope the prices aren't too crazy. If only one of my votes could win, let it be Godzilla 1954 (and possibly Godzilla 2004 if two of my votes could win) :)

  • Mr. Craig - 10 years ago

I'll make this short and sweet.

Bagan: Would love for the first and possibly only version of this guy to be done in SHMA style.

Godzilla 54: You can't have all of these guys without the kaiju that started it all. He is the reason we are all here now and an SHMA would do him justice.

Super Godzilla: Same as Bagan. These guys speak for themselves and with no other versions these are easy money.

  • tymon - 10 years ago

    My top three choces:

Godzilla 2000 (Film version) - as much as I dig the maquette, the final version is my favorite of all the Godzilla designs, from one of my favorite G-films (the US cut).

Orga - There's only one other realistic figure of this monster if I recall correctly (the Bandai vinyl), and an even more detailed/poseable one would be excellent. The UFO would make a perfect accessory.

Varan - He's an obscure monster that deserves more figure representations, and I would pick up an SHMA version in a heartbeat.

  • Gojira Prime - 10 years ago

    My Top Three Votes include:
Titanosaurus - my #1 Monsterarts want. Very few toy releases & a great throwback design from the Showa era. Doesn't need any effect pieces. $60 - $70
Showa Mechagodzilla '75 - Mecha's sell in this line & this would compliment Titanosaurus since they are from the same movie. He would need beam effects based on all the weapons used in the movie. $75 - $85
'54 Godzilla - Great way to acknowledge the 60th anniversary with an original Godzilla figure. $65 - $70
    Age range: 40's - 50's

  • Baltan II - 10 years ago

My top three choices in this poll were Megalon, Showa Gigan, and Godzilla 1989, in that order. Megalon and Gigan in particular are kaiju very close to my heart and a crucial part of my childhood courtesy of multiple well-worn VHS copies and finally vs. Megalon on DVD just last year. Releasing this pair of monsters would be a fantastic way to retest the market's interest in other Showa MonsterArts since Mosu-Goji underperformed, as they're among the most recognizable classic Godzilla foes in the West, after KG, Mothra, and MG of course. I would accept the figures being in either the smaller Mosu-Goji scale or enlarged to fit in with the Heisei and Millenium MonsterArts and would pay around $70 each were they in the smaller scale, $85 if larger with at least one effect/display part each (exploding refinery mini-display for Gigan, lighting bolt or napalm for Megalon). I'd pay a little more in either case if they also used some diecast parts. There were several other Showa monsters in my top ten as well, so a choice like Titanosaurus would be most welcome.

Godzilla 1989 is a little more straightforward and obvious, as one of the two vastly distinctive Heisei Godzilla designs undone, a necessary companion piece to Biollante, and featured multiple times in Bluefin and Tamashii event displays in prototype form. Being a smaller design compared to Godzilla 1994, I would hope to pay about $70 for him, perhaps more if he finally included a newer blue atomic ray, in a style similar to the red spiral ray included with Fire Rodan. If you took the release as an opportunity to reuse the Super-X II mold, I would gladly pay something more in the $90 range. After Godzilla 1989, Mecha-King Ghidorah and perhaps Godzilla 1984, I would be content with the Heisei subline being considered complete, making way for Showa and more Millenium designs.

  • T-Dawg - 10 years ago

Jet Jaguar - It is easy to do since the Ultra-Act line is pretty popular. Would also give some old school variety to the line.

Titanosaurus - It is a most popular choice.

Godzilla 1984 (1985) - It is a not often created Goji figure that should get some presence in the MA line.

my age - Old enough to vote!

  • Ejectorseat - 10 years ago

Titanosaurus, Megalon, and Jet Jaguar are my top 3.
I would buy any that were released though.
I am a big fan of this line and all that they have done so far
    Thank you

  • Kaiju Claws - 10 years ago

Godzilla 1984, Titanosaurus and the Showa Rodan would be my vote for S.H.MonsterArts figures to make it out this year (though I would also love to see S.H.MonsterArts figures of the Gargantuas, Sanda and Gaira made at some point, even though they are not on this list!)

Godzilla '84 is simply my favorite appearance for the Big G, embodying the power and terror of the original Godzilla in a look that is different from anything we've seen before or since. Based on the wonderful looks of the current S.H.MA's Godzilla figures, I'm sure this figure would live up to the suit., which I would purchase immediately.
Titanosaurus is a classic kaiju with a wonderful appearance. He is tall, colorful and I believe his fan tail and long neck could be wonderfully recreated for the S.H.MonsterArts line.
Finally, the Showa design of Rodan would be a wonderful addition to the line. Showa Rodan's design would allow for a thicker, tougher figure and would be another step towards expanding the S.H.MonsterArts line of Showa figures.

As for my information, I am 23 and I would gladly purchase any of the above figures for prices ranging from $70 to $80, as none of the kaiju I've picked would have to be made abnormally large, like King Ghidorah or Biollante). If I might also add, while figures based on concept art (like the Godzilla 2000 figure) are interesting, they are not figures that I would buy outright. I simply prefer the final designs of the kaiju, and my purchases reflect that.

I hope this information is helpful! Keep up the good work!

  • Taylor J - 10 years ago

My top picks would have to be Zilla, Bagan and Super Godzilla. Two of these creatures have never gotten a proper figure before and would be really unique additions to the line. "NES" retro style figures have become a big hit in collector circles recently, and something like a Super Godzilla in a properly themed box would reach tons of customers that might not otherwise be interested. Given the size of these figures, I'd happily pay in the upward $100+ range.

  • Kaijū Kementári - 10 years ago

Very big fan of this line but the only entries I've bought so far are Godzilla 1994 and the fantastic Godzilla 2000 Millennium. However Biollante, Destoroyah and Kiryu are all very high on my want list as well and hoping to pick them up sometime soon.

From the poll, I voted for Anguirus [Millennium], Rodan [Millennium], Varan, Monster X/Keizer Ghidorah, Baragon and Manda [Millennium]. But some others I would love to see realised as SHMonsterArts would also include Rainbow Mothra, Gamera 1999 and Grand King Ghidorah.

Seeing as we just got the amazing Yuji Sakai Godzilla 2000, I reckon it would be awesome to have some Millennium era bad guys to go alongside him - Hence why I voted for some of the those iterations over their Showa counterparts, of which I'm also a little partial; some of them are cool contemporary twists of classic daikaiju designs. They could possibly even hold appeal to more cursory or casual fans other than just die-hard collectors-types.

Eh, what the hell - I'd probably buy Bagan too if he ever got made!

  • JR Sharp - 10 years ago

I Be-leave Bagan & Super Godzilla deserve to have awesome figures of them self's made! we never had figures of Bagan & S.Godzilla before so why not now!! besides Bagan & S.Godzilla have millions of fans the world over that have always wanted to own these monsters in toy form I be-leave an S.H.MONSTERARTS BAGAN & S.H.MONSTERARTS SUPER GODZILLA FIGURES will definitely become Best Sellers!!!

  • Paul - 10 years ago

I'd pay any price for a great Varan, Anguirus, Zilla, or Ebirah, especially if you start sizing the Showa monsters with the Heisei and Millennium monsters. Also, I'm 21, and (clearly) I prefer the Showa Era monsters, Although an Orga figure at about 70 dollars would be pre-ordered instantly. Keep in mind everyone expects to see Godzilla 1954 and 2014 this year! I'm passing on 1992 Mothra in hopes of a 2003 Mothra, as I prefer it. Lastly, If Super Godzilla or Bagan were to be made, they'd be an easy pass for me. I hope this helps!

  • J. S. - 10 years ago

If figures were made of Bagan and Super Godzilla, I'd gladly buy both as soon as they were released. Since as early as I can remember during my childhood Super Nintendo gaming years, those two monsters have held a very nostalgic place in my heart, and it'd be such an honor to see them revived in the S.H. MonsterArts line in glorious detail.
As you may guess, I fall within the 20~30 year old age group! There'd be no qualms from me about purchasing these beasts.
Given the similarities between Super Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla, I'd wager Super Godzilla would cost somewhere near $80. I've heard some interested parties request having a swappable head for Super Godzilla for his Japanese and American counterparts (the Japanese version having a green crest on the forehead, the American one removing it). If this adds to the cost some, then so be it, I'd be more than content to pay for such a deal.
Bagan is tricky, if only because it is unknown what design would be used for him. His orange design from the "Super Godzilla" video game would be preferred, and I know I'd be willing to buy him near final Destoroyah's price range, around $130~$140. It's certainly pricey, but the nostalgia would be too strong to resist! haha

In any case, if worst comes to worst and these two monsters are destined to remain in obscurity, a sincere THANK YOU to you all at Tamashii Nations for taking the requests of fans like me so seriously. Best wishes.

  • Heartless - 10 years ago

My top 3 choices are Megaguirus, Orga, and Showa Gigan. I'm dying to get some figures of Megaguirus and Orga since they are not as well represented in merchandise and I think that a large range of articulation would suit them well (especially Megaguirus after seeing the amount of articulation Mothra and Battra are receiving, and they are much more static). Both Megaguirus and Orga would both go nicely with my beautiful Godzilla 2000 figure as well. Showa Gigan is a personal and fan favorite and would be my first choice for another Showa entry.

And to help Tamashii with some data accumulation I'd personally be more interested in further exploration into the Millenium era after the Heisei era comes to a close with Mecha Ghidorah (you have no idea how grateful I am for the larva set by the way)... Godzilla 2002/3 and the film version of Godzilla 2000 are my next desired Godzilla figures... while I'd also deeply enjoy a 2003 Mothra. I don't have much interest in Final Wars, however...

I fall under the young adult demographic (between 18 - 22 years old), and I've collected every entry into the MonsterArts thus far minus Godzilla 1964. Realistically speaking, I would probably be willing to lay down around $80 for Megaguirus, around $115 for Orga, and $70 for Gigan.

  • Dr Kain - 10 years ago

I voted awhile back, but if I recall right, my three were King Ceasar (Showa), Anguirus (Showa), and it was either 54 or GMK Godzilla.

  • Timothy B - 10 years ago

Godzilla 2000, King Caeser, and Baragon I love Godzilla

  • Scorpion713htx - 10 years ago

Man, If Bagan and or super godzilla ever gets made, I woul buy them in a heartbeat

  • Master Seijin - 10 years ago

Gotta have Final Wars Godzilla! That would be the figure to make me break down and finally buy this figure line.
