About the Author

Chris Sorensen is a native of Richmond, Virginia, and a high school counselor by profession, but his real passion is telling stories. He also loves naps, ice cream, watching cartoons with his kids, and making a fool of himself in public (according to his wife).

He has two adult, inspirational novels in publication. 'The Greatest Discovery' was a regional favorite and won Book-of-the-Year for the Virginia College Stores Association (2003). The prequel, 'The Greatest Choice', followed in 2007. Both are available in print and ebook format on Amazon.com.

MAIDEN is his first young adult novel.

    The idea behind this book is really interesting and different. Unfortunately there were a ton of characters. I lost track of characters as I read and they were not reintroduced so it took a bit of back and forth to figure out who they were. There were also a few spelling errors. I enjoyed reading it despite all of that.

    This book is captivating from the start. The characters subtly draw you in and the story grows on you quickly. I am anxious to get reading in the second of the trilogy. I had heard about it from friends and started it on a plane trip. By the time we finished our trip, I was near the end of the book. Take it for a spin. You'll like it.

    At first I thought this story would be a cliche story with a love triangle and such, but now I don't think that. It's a good book with lots of great characters who you can relate with right away. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to my family. I love that it's clean. I don't feel guilty recommending it to my nieces. Can't wait to read the second book.
