    For those that enjoy movies that do not rely on CGI to create their special effects, this book is one that you should consider adding to your collection. In essence, a photo documentary behind the creation of the movie “Harbinger Down” written and directed by Alec Gillis and brought to life by his award winning team at Amagamated Dynamics Inc, one of the top special effects companies in the movie industry. The book showcases the creative endeavors of the creature creators at ADI by wonderful behind the scene photos. This book, through the photos, brings to life the amount of thought and detail that went into this production and is a tribute to all the artists and actors involved. My only wish is that the book was available in hardcover and larger format.

    First I have to say I really enjoy the movie "harbinger down" and this book is a real gem for those who like not only the movie but"practical" special efx. Packed with beautiful photos from the movie as well as how the efx are done. The book is filled with tons of photos in a small package. Highly recommend this book to everyone who enjoys sci-fi movies as well as those interested in how movies are made.

    If you’re looking for an art book with lots of concept art and designs, then you’ll be slightly disappointed, as the focus is behind the scenes photos and the process of making the creature effects and miniatures, with a few concept pieces here or there.

    Overall still an insightful read, which I feel is worth the $8.79 price for the kindle version, which I’d recommend over the $30 physical book.
