AGENDA

9:15 a.m  – 10:30 a.m.

Gabe Adams

Motivational Speaker

Presentation: The Best Part of You

What does it mean to go beyond the realm of what's possible?  To defeat the odds, when the world has all the odds stacked against you? Gabe will share his journey with the audience and inspire them to believe in the power of their own heart, mind and body as a vehicle to achieve the impossible and live their best lives!

Gabe was born in Brazil with a genetic disorder called Hanhart Syndrome, which left him with no arms or legs. Had he stayed in Brazil, who knows how his story would have been shaped, but one miracle changed his path. He was adopted by an incredible family from Utah, who already had 12 children, but they knew they could give Gabe the love that he would need, to be the best he could be.

But as far as miracles go, that is the only one Gabe has been given, because everything else in Gabe’s life has been a journey with continued challenges that he needed to overcome. An opportunity to look at the impossible with a tenacity and drive to achieve the impossible and continuously prove that your heart, mind and body can catapult you further than you imagined.

10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Dr. Thomas Dobbs

State Health Officer

Mississippi State Department of Health

Presentation: COVID-19 Update and the Path Forward

Dr. Dobbs will provide an overview of the risks associated with COVID-19. Some people may be more likely to have severe illness than others because they have characteristics or medical conditions that increase their risk. He will also provide statistics and information on trends in Mississippi and the U.S. In addition, he will present the best ways to prevent COVID-19 infection and protect your community from it.

Presentation: Healthcare's Promising Frontier: Telehealth

The pandemic changed everything and forced us to be creative in how we saw our doctors and healthcare providers. Many people, for the first time, realized that they could be seen and treated through a computer or smartphone. But just what is telehealth? Is it here to stay, and can it continue to help our fellow Mississippians?
