James Demianow is raising money for British Heart Foundation
In memory of Michael Demianow

Lands End to John O Groats · 16 May 2025

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page.

Myself and a Chris Stothard will be cycling from Lands End to John O Groats on Thursday 15th May 2025

The ride itself is around 1000miles long and we expect to complete the ride in around 12 days.

We also have Matthew Hempel driving the distance with us for valuable support and supplies along the way.

The route has been planned and every night we will be staying in a b and b or hotel. All accommodation has been paid for through donations from local businesses, family or friends of which we are very grateful for!!

We started our training in late November last year through some of the coldest and toughest conditions we could come up against and have consistently built up the miles week by week through rain, wind and sun…

So far within our training have completed London to Brighton 60 miles, Watford to shoreham 80 miles, Southampton to Capel 83miles.

I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my dad who sadly passed away from a heart attack in 2018 and I'd be so grateful for your support.

If the money we raise helps to save 1 person then this epic ride is worth doing.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
