Rural Artists' Support Weekend

Free to attend but registration is required. Registration closes Sept. 20th or when the venue is full - whichever comes first. Space is limited, so don't wait!  

In October, 2016 NDAC hosted an Arts and Poverty forum at the Civic Theatre to address concerns in the creative community. During that discussion it became apparent that there is a need for artist education with regards to business practices. From these discussions, the idea of a Rural Artist Support Weekend was born.

Join us for this two day symposium in Nelson BC with a focus on artist development. Presentations and information sharing with professionals from the business and arts community, including: social media, marketing, insurance, business start up, events and grant writing. Includes round table discussions on "Arts and Poverty 2: What's Next?" and "Getting the Gig".
