If awarded, this grant is intended to assist persons with limited means so that they may have the opportunity to participate in NFBW affiliate and or National level events.  Recipients of this grant must demonstrate genuine interest in, and commitment to the blind of Washington or the potential to develop such interest and commitment.  Recipients are expected to attend all sessions relative to the event for which they receive assistance.  Recipients are also expected to assist with Convention and/or event activities.

The assistance application must be completely filled out and submitted to the President of the National Federation of the Blind of Washington by the designated deadline.  Applications received after the deadline, may not be considered. Furthermore, NFBW expects all participants to contribute to funding to attend events where possible.  The Award Committee may award partial funding to assist individuals to attend Federation events and have discretion to do so.
