We are connected by our passion for Texas State and our desire to make a difference within our campus, community, and throughout the nation. We have experienced, either directly or indirectly, the devastating effects of sexual assault throughout our time at Texas State. It is time to take responsibility for our student culture. We need to work towards ending the silence around sexual assault and rape culture and engage fellow bobcats in conversations about our collective and personal responsibility to prevent sexual assault.

Sexual assault is any sexual activity without consent. Texas State gets consent. #notonmycampustxst

I will break the silence surrounding sexual assault by engaging in conversations about the issue.

I will support and empower survivors by always believing them, listening without judgment, and offering options for recovery and safety.

I will work to educate the student body about the existing campus resources to ensure that the community has the tools to effectively help one another.

I will ensure that I have earned and received consent in every personal sexual encounter.

I will choose to not be a bystander by taking the responsibility to help anyone who may be experiencing harm.
