We are inviting families with children with varying disabilities (9 years old and below) and their siblings to join Playeum’s upcoming Open Minds, Open Doors initiative - an inclusive, free-to-access community play programme to support families in using play as a way to nurture agency and 21st century skills in their children.
Open Minds, Open Doors began in 2019 in partnership with Dr. Esther Joosa, Founder of Arts of the Earth Learning Hub and a specialist in play, creativity, and disability. This unique community initiative is funded by the President's Challenge with the support of United Overseas Bank (UOB). It provides children of all abilities with a safe space and a holistic approach to developing 21st-century skills and other essential areas of growth.
During the play sessions, parents and caregivers will receive expert guidance from Dr. Esther. She will also conduct special parent workshops and offer individual coaching sessions, sharing practical, playful strategies to support children’s development, inclusion in the community, and bonding at home.
