UNCW's and Topsail High School's Spanish Clubs are coming together to put on a fundraiser in the form of a 1-Mile Walk to raise money for a local nonprofit organization called Amigos Internacional. To learn more about this organization, look below. The event will take place on April 18th, 2015 at Hugh MacRae Park (1799 S. College Rd. Wilmington, NC 28403) from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. After the walk is over, we will have games and activities for the children, a raffle with all kinds of great prizes, and so much more that you won't want to miss out on. You're welcome to participate in the event with your bikes, scooters, strollers, skateboards, or even pogo sticks!
Amigos Internacional is a nonprofit organizaion in Wilmington, NC that reaches out to the local Hispanic community and provies translation services, ESL classes, childcare, transportation services, and so much more. In essence, "Amigos International is dedicated to helping the Latino community and those in need socially, culturally, and spiritually."
