Pavilion Volunteer Sign-Up
Thank you for your interest in helping us build the Living Pavilion. The first step is filling out this form so I can keep track of everyone. Your information is being collected only for the purpose of organizing volunteers and keeping you up to date on the status of the project.

An interesting challenge in organizing volunteers is the fact that 48 hours advance notice is required in order to put your name on the ferry list in the weeks leading up to the public opening of the island. I need to submit names by the end of business two days before you show up. This gets a little more complex when you figure that I will probably be on the island with volunteers rather than in front of a computer when that's due. This form will help a lot in that process.

Please be honest about your time if you are signing up for a shift and plan on showing up. On the other hand, we really do need all the help we can get, so if you think it is very likely that you will be able to come I'd rather put your name on the list in hopes that you do. It's not problem if you don't know when you'd like to come right now, fill out this form anyway and let me know your intentions. If you sign up for some shifts now and want to sign up for more that's great too and you can either fill out the form again or send me an email. On that note, please be on time for the ferry, which means a little early. But it is better to be late than to not come. You'll need an ID to get on the ferry, so please give me your real name!

This one requires we have a conversation and I will be in touch. CNC work in Long Island City. The work will be to monitor the CNC router, mount and dismount the plywood, and do some assembly of the parts after they have been cut. We strongly prefer someone with woodshop/CNC experience.
