Performance Measurement and Management Control
Value creation in organizations requires understanding and managing value drivers. In order for an organization to create an effective strategy for value creation, value drivers have to be identified, converted into performance measures and then integrated into the management control system. Several different management control approaches, such as the Balanced Score Card and EVA, have been adopted by companies with varying degrees of emphasis on financial and non-financial measures of performance. In this seminar we will discuss some of these approaches and their relative success and also discuss the need, in todays dynamic business environment, of approaching performance measurement from a value chain perspective.
