    Description: 
    An eagle, its wings raised in the air, grasps and pulls the lever of a fire nozzle with its talons. Behind the fire nozzle is a large flame. The eagle is affixed to the front of the fire station above a wooden swag that reads: "NEW CASTLE FIRE DEPT."

    Remarks: 
    Donated by the artist, who was a fireman at the time. The inscription below the eagle, Latin for "piss on it" came from the advice that firemen gave for handling a fire when a hose broke or the water supplied failed. IAS files contain a related excerpt from the "New Castle Town Report 1978," 1978, cover, pg. 2.
