The Cincinnati Green Industry awaits with a robust program to share!
Attendees with public garden interest can look forward to the visits to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, Krohn Conservatory and the amazing collection of architecture, sculpture and horticulture with more than 1200 species at the Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum.
Growers will benefit from visits to Meadow View Growers, Bern’s Garden Center and Natorp’s Nursery.
The Cincinnati area has long been known as the location of a number of outstanding garden centers. Visits to Knollwood Florist & Garden Center, Grandma’s Gardens, Bern’s Garden Center, and Delhi Garden Center are on every professional retail tour that goes to Cincinnati. Attendees with a retail interest can also attend the symposium session “Retail Centers – What Makes Them Distinctive and a Destination.”
The Wednesday tour will offer designers an opportunity to visit 8 private or public gardens. The optional tours to Lexington and Indianapolis will also offer many private and public garden visits.
And finally, the 30 plus speakers will provide information on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday that will touch on all areas – retail-grower-design-public garden and general plant geek.
You'll experience Cincinnati style chili, a dinner cruise on the Ohio River, and a chance to catch that foul ball or home run at the Great American Ball Park during the Cincinnati Reds v. Arizona Diamondbacks game.
Your “home away from home” for the symposium is the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza. Open since 1931, the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel is one of the world’s finest examples of French Art Deco style. One can admire rare Brazilian rosewood paneling, two-story ceiling murals and original German silver-nickel sconces at Cincinnati’s ‘must-see’ hotel.
The Perennial Plant Symposium is the only annual professional education conference dedicated solely to growing, retailing, and designing with herbaceous perennials. The Symposium has been presented since 1983. Attendees look forward each year to the fun of networking and making new friends at the annual reunion of perennial professionals!

PPA SYMPOSIUM CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refunds will be granted if requested in writing before June 23, 2014. From June 23 to July 7, 2014 a service fee of $75 per per- son will be discounted from refunds due to arrangements made by the PPA office. After July 7, refunds will be prorated according to contracts the PPA has with vendors.
