River Of Life Vacation Bible School

Welcome to “River of Life,” Vacation Bible School for 2021!

This year, we are journeying down the river to learn about God’s gracious gift of water. From the waters of baptism to the waters that sustain farms and gardens, water is life. All of creation relies on water to live. But water is much more than a resource.

In “River of Life,” participants will learn about the importance of water and visit important “ports” during the week to hear Bible stories about water. They will also hear about communities working to restore watersheds, to protect rights to water and to ensure safe water for everyone. And they’ll have some fun! Games, snacks, crafts and other activities will be included to help celebrate water and remind us of our important calling to be good stewards of creation.

COVID RESTRICTIONS

Masks may be required for certain activities and will be available if needed. CDC protocols will be followed.To limit contact, kids will be assigned a group on the the first day and will remain with that group throughout the entire VBS. Several VBS stations will also be outdoors.

OFFERING/MISSION PROJECT

This year's offering will benefit world communities in need of clean, filtered water. We will be purchasing water filter systems through the ELCA Good Gift for $30 each.

In addition to monetary donations, we will be collecting bottled water every night for the Paw Packs Program.
