The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is accepting public comment on the potential expansion of an asphalt manufacturing plant in Rosemount.

Hardrives Inc. wants to build eight above-ground storage tanks for liquid asphalt and other materials at its UMore Park site.

An environmental assessment worksheet, which describes the project’s potential effects on land, water and air, as well as possible community impacts such as odors, noise, dust and vehicle traffic, is open for public comment through Aug. 10.

The document and instructions for submitting comments are available on the MPCA’s website, pca.state.mn.us.
