Welcome to Kulanu's fundraiser page in support of the two Abayudaya schools in Uganda. At the Abayudaya primary school and Semei Kakungulu High School, 600 Jewish, Muslim and Christian children learn, play, and eat together in peace. With your generosity, we can continue to improve these schools and encourage success from all these students.
In 2014 we learned that the government and a major partner organization have withdrawn $54,000 of annual support from the schools – more than half of their annual budget. We are asking for your support to ensure that the Abayudaya community can continue to provide a high-quality education to these promising young students in Uganda. We must now double our efforts to keep the schools open. It is heartbreaking to think of students whose education might be disrupted - whose parents cannot afford tuition at other schools, or who live too far to go elsewhere, or who might now face the past harassment that the Abayudaya schools have erased, as Jewish, Christian, and Muslim students work and play together peacefully. Can you help us?
From this page, you can donate online. You can also register for your own personal fundraising page (PFP), start or join a team, set a goal, and begin raising money in support of Abayudaya Elementary and Semei Kakungulu High School! You can also search for other participants and donate toward their goals.
After you contribute to or create a PFP, check out these fundraising tips to inspire more support for the impressive Kulanu-Abayudaya Education Program.
All of us at Kulanu appreciate your support!
