School for Scholars Class Proposal
The BAE PTO is in the early stages of planning School for Scholars and we are eager to get things in place for another great year! At this point, our goal is to find instructors who will allow us to offer our students an assortment of fun and educational classes.
Instructors can be anyone who loves to work with kids and teaching including grandparents, parents, teachers, high school students, camp counselors, and community members.Themes can range from yoga to Lego building to crafts…whatever your interest; we would love to have you share it with our students!

Please note some specifics about the 2018 program:
- The SFS classes will begin on Monday, January 22 & Tuesday, January 23, 2018, and will run for six weeks. We will not hold classes on February 19 & 20, due to the Presidents' Day holiday. Classes will end on Monday, March 5 & Tuesday, March 6.

- Instructors can choose the day (Monday or Tuesday) that works best for them, they may teach both days the same (depending on demand) or different classes.

- Classes run from 4:00-5:00. We ask that teachers report NO LATER than 3:40 (this is very important) to meet students in the gym and escort them to the class location for a snack beforehand. Teachers are asked to remain until 5:05, to allow for dismissal of all students.

- Class sizes will be determined by you.  Typically, our classes are structured for 12-15 students as the maximum number, but we look to you for guidance on how best to set those limits.  In order to cover our costs, we ask that each class be designed to accommodate at least 8 students.  We charge a base tuition for all classes to cover the costs of instruction and a snack.  As you plan your projects for the session, please budget for any additional materials, so these can be reflected in the overall cost of the class.

- Classes must have at least 8 enrolled students, those with an enrollment of less than 8 will not be held.

- The PTO will compensate our lead teachers $210 for the 6 week session*.

If you have an interest in joining the SFS team or know of someone (BAE parent, Sycamore HS student, etc.) that may be interested, we ask that you review the information above, check your calendar, and then let the SFS coordinator (Debbie Flinchpaugh-Kirby) know that you're on board! If possible, we would appreciate a response by November 30, fill out the Google Form.

We are really excited about our upcoming session, and we hope that you will be a part of it!

You can reach the SFS coordinator, Debbie Flinchpaugh-Kirby, via email SchoolforscholarsBAE@gmail.com or phone 513-831-2950 should you have any questions or comments.

We look forward to the opportunity of working with you this year!
